No power, No lights.
I open my dishwasher and there was water in the bottom that did not drain because it stopped in the middle of a cycle. Once I replaced the high heat thermostat it came back to life. Thank you so much For saving me the trouble of buying a new dishwasher.

Exactly the part that was needed. Initially I bought a replacement from a major online retailer. It burned out in a few weeks. This one is still going strong.

Due to the drain hose loop dropping low the dishwasher overheated and caused the fuse to blow. The change in location of the drain hose loop was caused by rearrangement of a crowded under sink cabinet which in turn moved the drain hose. Faced with the option of replacing the dishwasher, calling in an appliance repair man to tell me to replace the dishwasher and trying to locate the blown fuse on my own, I chose the latter. Doing my diligence, i checked with the local appliance shops, online appliance parts places and finally Home Depot. Home Depot carried the fuse at half the price of the appliance parts/ repair stores and also were able to have the part shipped faster. Replacement of the fuse was simple after reestablishing the drain hose loop more permanently out of sight. The new fuse fit perfectly into the existing fuse socket and saved money on repairs and shopping for a new $800 dishwasher. For less than $10.00 it was worth the risk, even if there had been another cause for the blown fuse.

Everyone wanted to sell me a new dishwasher until I finally traced it to this $10 fuse. Ordered online, delivered in 2 days and fit perfectly. Others were charging 3 times this price. Keeping those old appliances alive.

Easy fix for what was going to be the "showstopper" that almost resulted in the user purchasing a new dishwasher. You will probably only need to replace the actual component and not the wire/terminal strip. Your first dishwasher cycle after replacing this component may be an extended "calibration" cycle; let it run to completion.
