Product Overview

The WEN 2,250-Watt Inverter Generator provides clean energy, free of voltage spikes and drops, without all the noise of a regular generator. Produce up to 2250 surge watts and 1800 rated watts of power. Our 79.7 cc 4-stroke OHV engine operates at an extremely quiet 53 decibels at quarter load, quieter than a window air conditioner or the average conversation. The WEN 2250-Watt Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the units lifespan. With power output designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3% at no load and under 1.2% at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The ultra-efficient 1 Gal. tank provides over 6-hours of half-load run time. The fully-packed panel comes equipped with two 3-prong 120-Volt 15 Amp NEMA 5-20R receptacles and two 5-Volt USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. This allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the unnecessary usage of gasoline.
  • EPA III and CARB-compliant 79.7 cc 4-stroke OHV engine produces 2250 surge watts and 1800 rated watts
  • Extremely quiet 53dB operation comparable to the sound of a normal conversation according to the US department of health and human services
  • Fuel shutoff maximizes the generators lifespan by using up the remaining fuel in the carburetor before shutting down
  • Produces clean power to safely operate sensitive electronics such as smartphones, tablets, televisions and computers
  • Includes two 3-prong 15 Amp 120-Volt receptacles, two 5-Volt USB ports, an oil access panel and a 2-year warranty

I’ve had it a month and so far I am happy with it. Read many reviews on this unit as well as others for over a year before pulling the trigger on this particular brand. The auto shut off feature is great. I plan on using it to take camping and recharge my RV battery as well as run small appliances. I will know more about it after the summer camping season is over. I did run Royal Purple break in oil through it for an hour as recommended. Packaging was very well done. No damage. Great portable inverter generator with a small price tag. I recommend it.

This is a amazing generator
I did alot of research online and came across this one. I watched videos on YouTube and was very impressed. I ordered this on the Home Depot websites also had free shipping to store. I got it home got 30w oil for a 4 stroke. Removed the 4 brackets on the base plate. Filled it up with 18oz of oil. Then put about 2 gallons of gas. Turned the dial to start and pushed button. Fired right up then turned to run... People this generator is super quiet. I must say as quiet as a honda. The handle is awsome for moving around or has 2 grab handles for lifting. WOW i must say I am impressed. ***** 5 stars for this one

So far I would recommend this generator I purchased it on line and it shipped to the store when they said it would. I opened the box and inspected, when I got it home, all looks well. I have not yet put oil in or actually started it. We plan on using this to run the electric side of the camper when we are remote camping. If it works as good as it looks it would get a 5 star review.

Waited quite some time before attempting to start this generator. Studied the operation manual several times before the “big day”. Every thing went according to the instructions and ran great. This unit will run a box fan set on high while in the “power saving” mode, Purring on low rpm’s, no problem. On full run mode, however, it WILL fault out when trying to start a 12” radial-arm saw. (I had to try it out). Pushing the reset button got it up to full peak output, per the instructions. It wasn’t 3 or 4 days later that we had major power outages in our area from severe weather. I DO own a larger generator for my house, used in tandem with an isolation switch (so as to not to back feed an unsuspecting lineman), but this 2000 peak wattage little generator could handle keeping my neighbor’s full size fridge powered up while they were away. Originally bought as a charging station for 3 banks of deep cycle batteries, this unit is very nice to have for emergencies, (and your neighbors just may elect you for sainthood)!

Ordered this generator after researching many others and found this one to be a better fit for my needs. I had it delivered to my local Home Depot store and picked it up on the delivery date they indicated. Went flawless... Once home, I followed the directions as described, used Just regular 10w30 motor oil for break -in, let it run for about 20 minutes without a load. Drained and repeated the process. Drained again and added 5w30 synthetic as per recommendations and then run it under a 50% load for about an hour. This is a very quiet running machine and no hiccups at all. So far I am happy about the purchase and if anyone is looking for a quiet generator, this one fits the bill. I powered up my A/C, Fridge, All lights (all LED), TV and Micro in my Rv and didn't trip any breakers on the unit. It was pushing it though. The coffee pot and the micro really cranks it up especially when A/C is running and usually I don't run those at the same time anyway. Under ECO, runs very quiet and once under the heavy load it does get a bit louder but not much. Rv parks wont hate you with this one. Took it out for the maiden voyage and ran it all weekend long without a problem. So, without a doubt, I would recommend this Wen Generator. Just follow the instructions, keep it maintained and it should last a long time.

      Love it!
I'm a 50-something gal who researched generators for 2 months before finally selecting one. Oil & gas filling was simple. You do need to get a ground wire for extra safety, though. The manual explains what to get. It was $5 at Home Depot. I fired it up yesterday for a test run. Started on the 2nd easy pull. I'm in a townhome community and was really pleased with how quiet it is. I'm ready for a South Florida hurricane! And buying another for my elderly parents. Oh, I also purchased the optional magnetic oil plug & the generator cover. Both really great quality. So happy with this purchase. It's a great little machine for the price. The photo is just before filling with oil.

        It's overrated!
1st let me start by saying the fit and finish is excellent on this 56235i, but that's where it stops. I just got this yesterday and I wanted to make sure it's output would be 1900 watts, or at least close to it. I broke the motor in for about 2 hours yesterday with either just running it with no load or little load. Today, I picked up a 1500 watt heater to give it a decent load, and it failed. Remember, this is sold as 1900 watt continuous and 2350 watts surge. On my unit I received, it's no where close. My unit can barely run a 1500 watt heater. It's 50/50. When I tested it, about half the time, the overload light would turn on and the generator would shut itself down. The other 1/2, the overload light would come on for a few seconds when it would run. My plan over the next few days is to get an AC splitter and test the actual amp draw; it's rated at 15.3. I know it's not going to get anywhere near it before it trips, but I'm going to make a best effort and run some tests. I'll also be calling WEN to see what they have to say or can do for me.

The WEN Super Quiet 3800-Watt Gas-Powered RV-Ready Portable Inverter Generator with Fuel Shut-Off...
The WEN Super Quiet 3800-Watt Gas-Powered RV-Ready Portable Inverter Generator with Fuel Shut-Off and Electric Start is a very handy generator to have. This generator can do pretty much anything I want it to do, aside from powering my house without the proper transfer switch and parallel kit. This unit is very easy to use and powers my 15,000 BTU AC unit along with my microwave inside my trailer. The unit is very quiet for it's size, it's nearly twice the size of a Honda 2000 generator and makes just a little bit more noise. Make note, this generator is pretty big, it weighs nearly 100 pounds without fuel, but comes equipped with pull handle and wheel kit. It has the easy to hook-up RV connection and the Electric start is very handy. It has a parallel port if you wanted to hook up another, and the available parallel kit allows you to hook up a transfer switch if you have one. This unit is also equipped with USB ports and standard 110 outlets. The equivalent-sized Honda is nearly twice the price and is rated at a higher DB level than this unit, and I haven't had any issues with this generator at all. I'm very tempted to buy a second one and install a transfer switch on my house in case the power goes out in the future.

Wen's Super Quiet wonder! I have lived in Florida most of my life. When a hurricane hits, my house is the first to lose power and the last to have it restored. Its essential to have a generator during these outages for obvious reasons. Over the years I've owned several generators... none as quiet or as portable as this Wenn 56225i. Its easy to start and has a gas shut-off feature that drains the carburetor before shutting off. This prevents sludge from clogging the carburetor during storage... arguably a portable generator's most common cause of failure. It will easily power a 5000 BTU air conditioner, run my well and keep a small refrigerator cold. That's all I need to survive the next big one!
