This tool is not powerful enough to perform the job. Mike
I don't have it next to me but I would say 5-6 feet I use it with an extension cord most of the time.
Hi Rod. The fattest part of the belt assembly measures 3/4" in height as seen in the pic below. If you only need to access the very tip of this sander, that tip measures 5/8". Have fun on your project!
no , this is hand held , you could make a dyi but doesn't make sense, very nice sander very happy, great price
I have had mine quite a while and really like it. I does NOT have a grounded plug. Just a two prong plug.
I don't think you can. Plus, I don't see any way to attach it. You might call Wen directly, I got good results from the service center. I needed a quill-return spring for a drill press at work, and they sent one free. They can help, if a solution exists.
1/2 is about how wide the belt is not how tall it is. But no it will not fit into a 3/8 tall slot.
No, but I use a similar tool to deburr sheet metal at work, and the belts last longer than you'd think. At least, I was surprised.
It works on anything in my experience. Metal, plastic, wood, masonite. No idea what the RPM is, or the belt speed in inches-per-minute. The arm is metal with plastic rollers
I use mine to sand in tight places, as for which it was designed, I doubt it could be used to sharpen a hedge trimmer, I would suggest maybe a fine small triangle file, not sure if that would work, I don't have a hedge trimmer, if I did, I would take the blades apart and use a fine small flat file. Hope this helps.
