just a hammer - anything else that you need to do you can do with your teeth and claws
I was able to order mine online for store pickup with no problem. it came in sooner than projected by the website.
Your feet on the platform or at 10 feet. Is a good size platform. The additional reach come from your height and hand out reach over head.
Platform is 46” above floor. Works well for me 5’7” and 10ft ceilings
I found out it internet order only. But you can have it shipped to the store no charge. That's what I did.
It’s the length of the ladder - almost 9 feet.
My ladder is stored stored upright against shelving, perpendicular to the floor. It stands 85 inches tall, 20.125 inches wide, and 8.5 inches deep at the top (has a tool tray) and 6 inches deep at the bottom
I do not know but I love this ladder. It is heavy so I need another person to carry around and set up. I have been able to complete many projects with this reach. I feel very safe because of the guard. If it could be adapted to roll on casters it would be even better!
I wouldn’t use it other than what it is designed. This question is best answered by the manufacturer.
A 14 ft. podium ladder has the platform at 8 ft. They figure an adult has a 6 ft. reach, and this (8+6) is where the 14ft comes from. When they compare it to a 10 ft. ladder it is because most people stand one step down on the 10ft (@8ft) for the same reach of 14ft. Podium ladder is a lot safer, but won't work inside a standard home with 8 or 10 ft. ceiling because it is about 12ft high with the belly bar above the podium. Great for outside work and for high ceiling buildings/barns though.
