A:  Hi there, the Wyze Cam v3 uses a USB wire to power the device and it does not use batteries, thus it needs to be plugged all times. For its network connection, the camera uses a wireless network to send data from the camera to your smartphone.     A:  Hi there, you can still view the camera's livestream if you have an SD card or not. Using a microSD card with your camera though, gives you the ability to record continuous footage and recorded events directly to your local microSD card.       A:  Hello there, Wyze Cam v3 is meant to work with an internet connection, which allows you to view the Live Stream, get notifications, and change your camera settings in the Wyze app. But it can still be used without WiFi but only after setting it up first.         Q:I purchased the 2-Pack Wyze Cam v3 which also come with 3-months of Cam Plus for each camera. How do I redeem the licenses? When I go to the new camera for Cam Plus the only option it gives me is $40/year for 2 cameras. Love Wyze by the way!

        A:  The Cam Plus license will be applied to your Wyze account automatically, and it will be activated once the cameras are installed in the App. Secure that the App and the Cameras are updated to the latest version.           Purchased the WYZE cam v3 couple months back for outside use. Needed to keep an eye on my back yard. It’s about 50 feet from my Wi-Fi and has excellent connectivity. Picture is better than I expected. Great camera for the value. 5 cameras and a doorbell. Thanks WYZE

          Great camera’s… but they only take pictures. The old V1’s took 5 second videos and uploaded them. Haven’t successfully figured out why. So essentially upgrading my cameras… made them a lil worse. Rather have the clips rather than 4k color night time videos…

          Great Product for the Great Value
          Camera works just as I thought it would. The frame and casing of the V1 through the V3 are fully plastic and seem quite easy to break. I would like to see a "rugged" option to purchase that would be metal casing and of course waterproof like the V3 is already I believe. And some kind of hardware encryption for the SD card or a way for all my local cams to save on my LAN to a formatted partition of a hard drive on my desktop. Or something similar. I've had two cams total in my WYZE history end up stolen and of course they take the SD card not even knowing its in the cam or maybe they do. But they easily just got all 16 GB of my continuous recording. Which should not be that easily compromised guys. And also the WYZE Live View website has been out for a minute now; where are the upgrades? And please figure something out with Amazon AWS with the live feed time out. I believe thats the main point of the site is to view the live feeds. But they quickly time out. I do love the pop out view feature for the live feeds. Except if i use an extension on my browser to keep the tab alive and refreshed so the feeds stay alive it of course closes the pop out windows.
