                    For the price it’s great. I wish they specified the type of hardwood, and it seems you get a random selection of what’s on hand. I think I got birch (or it could be another similar species I’m not familiar with). I used this to install a short ballet barre for my wife. It was perfect for that purpose and required minimal finishing.

                    I picked-up this product after ordering online. Was pleasantly surprised that the finish was smooth with only some minor nicks. The diameter was a tad under 1.75" which will fit into my 1.75" forstner drilled hole a little looser than expected. It's a little expensive compared to the larger dowels regularly in stock at HD. All in all, I'm satisfied. Made in Vietnam.
