Can I screw these directly into a table leg to extend it?
      ByOct 6, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

It depends on the existing table leg material and construction. If the existing leg is made of solid wood and thick enough to support a screw without splitting, you could potentially screw these directly into it to extend it. However, for a more stable and secure extension, consider using a mounting plate designed for these legs, which would distribute the weight more evenly. You can find compatible mounting plates by searching for "Waddell Top Plates".

Can these be used as desk leg extenders to make existing desk legs taller?
      BySep 8, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

Yes, these can be used as desk leg extenders to make existing desk legs taller. They are designed to be attached to furniture using a hanger bolt, which allows for easy installation on various surfaces. You would need to attach a mounting plate to the existing desk leg and then screw the leg extender into the mounting plate. Keep in mind, however, that the overall stability of the desk will depend on how securely the extenders are attached and the weight they need to support.

Will 4 of these with the base plates hold the 6 ft x 25 in Saman live edge wood slab to use as a desk?
      ByJul 12, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

While the legs themselves are sturdy, using only four might not provide enough support for a 6 ft x 25 in. live edge slab, especially considering the uneven nature of live edge wood. The weight of the slab could cause bowing or stress on the legs over time. For optimal support and stability, I would recommend using six legs, evenly spaced along the length of the slab. You can find suitable mounting plates in the store that are compatible with these legs.

Does this come in a pack of 4? I would like to change the height of the desk I have!!
      ByNov 25, 2022
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

This item is sold individually, not in a pack of 4. You can adjust the quantity you need when placing your order. If you want to change the height of your desk, you can use these legs with any of the compatible top mounting plates, sold separately.

Be careful to check that they are all unwarped! I rushed into my project and decided to paint the legs before attaching to my project, and realized halfway through one of the legs is badly warped. I'm going to beg Home Depot to let me exchange it for a better one, even though there's paint on it, because it will ruin the look of my project, it's quite noticeable. Other than that, these wooden legs are a good buy. I'm always on the lookout for old furniture leg sets to upcycle old drawers into outdoor planters (which also often involves some light sanding, wood putty if necessary), but these unfinished ones are ready to accept primer/paint or stain (whatever finish you like) without any prep, and inexpensive.

Perfect size for my project; good quality.
These legs were exactly the size I was looking for as they were not available in store. The price was great and store pick up is a nice perk to avoid shipping charges. Repurpose, reuse, restore!

Just what I was looking for & easy to add to my table.
Needed to make my table counter height. Went online to Home Depot & found just the right size leg to add to the table to make it the needed size. The legs were shipped to the store and in a couple of days I went and picked them up. Added the legs, used some caulk to seal between the two joints, then painted them to match the table. Looks great, just the right height and is very stable for me to use.
