Questions & Answers

How can I detach the power cord?

I want to detach the power cord so I can put it back into the box for storage, but I can't figure out any way of disconnecting them and it's not mentioned in the manual. Wagner's press release (march 2016) "FURNO – the heat gun range from WAGNER " claims that the cord is detachable. How do I do it?
Asked by: marylandhobbyist
Press the button on the cord where it is attached to the heat gun.

Yes it will work. We use these at our sign company for that exact purpose. Keep it moving and don't over heat the vinyl.

I made this purchase last night and i have used it several times since then. I have recently started a candle business and after doing research, a heat gun was the solution to fix the issues i was running into. So far, the only issue i have is not being able to remove the power cord in order to put it back in the box for storage. Looked through the manual and could not find it. This device is very light weight, does not have a lot of extra parts and is reasonably priced. This heat gun is perfect for crafting and I am very pleased. My candles are now perfect and ready to sell. I will definitely recommended this product, it has met my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Heat Gun The Furno 300 is a nice heat gun. It's lightweight and well balanced, making it easy to handle with one hand while scraping with the other. I was able to easily strip 70 years of paint from old doors using the high setting. It's ready to go right out of the box--just attach the power cord and you're able to get to work. The gun is also designed to stand on its back end, so you can set it down to safely cool or use the gun in a stationary upright position for hands-free operation. There are also some nice accessories that can be purchased for tackling different jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A professional-grade tool I really like the Furno 330 heat gun. Although it is the least expensive of the four Wagner Furno heat guns, it has two heat settings: 750F and 1100F (HOT and VERY HOT!) I could not hold my hand any closer than 18 inches away. I highly recommend wearing protective gloves. It has an integrated stand for hands-free operation and an innovative, detachable power cord with a hanging loop for storage. It just feels like a professional-grade tool. I have used it around the house for DIY projects and to heat-shrink tubing on a desktop computer I recently built. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Basic Heat Gun This is a good basic heat gun for the DIYer. It has two temperature settings, what I like to refer to as hot and really hot. The gun works perfectly for removing paint, thawing pipes or softening up adhesives. It has a built-in stand that allows you to sit the gun down without worrying about what the hot nozzle might touch. The gun is light and ergonomic, so it's comfortable to hold for extended periods of time. Unless you have a specialized use that requires a specific temperature that this gun won't produce, you can't go wrong with this model!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product that gets the job done. I acquired this for stripping some paint on my window trim. This has some serious heat output so you must take precautions and use this correctly. Keep the heat gun slowly moving when heating up a surface and wear nice protective gloves. Well, it handled the job perfectly. I was able to remove several layers of paint. It takes a while using this method but no fumes to breathe in when using a heat gun vs a chemical. Ergonomically, it's well designed and feels solid. I like the built in stand for cool down and the protective side bars that will stop the nozzle from hitting the surface if you lay it down. Great product. The heat was strong, quick, and consistent. I'm happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turn up the Heat!! This heat gun does just what I need it to do. I use heat guns to dry paint when testing a color spot on a project so I don’t wait hours to see the dried color making sure it’s what I wanted. I also use it to heat up labels to peal off more easily. Check the owner’s guide for info on ordering additional nozzle tip accessories to attach to gun and heating guidelines for heat settings and nozzle tip options. Every DIY and hobbyist will have a use for this handy heat gun. The Gun should heat up to 750*F on low and 1100*F on high. I don’t have a way to check the temp but I tested it with an oven temp gauge and on low the gun heated the gauge well past the 600*F mark. I have no doubt it will heat up to 700* plus on low my little demo in my video clip will show the results. For the price its easy on the wallet and that one time you may need this it will pay for itself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Frills Basic Heat gun A good basic level heat gun. Just comes with the heat gun and power cord. Nothing else. Has dual temperature. This is Wagners basic heat gun. The other levels have high heat. Digital read outs. Accessories to help heat certain items such as copper pipes. This is great for someone who just needs to heat basic items. OR small projects around the house. Well built and nice size and weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WAGNER - FURNO300 I received the Wagner FURNO300 approximately four (4) weeks ago. This item is absolutely incredible. I was having trouble removing lug nuts from my tractor. I used the FURNO300 and the lugs came off. In the summer my wife will be using it to remove paint from our porch. I also have a water pipe that freezes every year. It usually takes about 15 - 30 minutes to warm it up with a hair dryer. I look forward to using the FURNO300 to take care of that problem much quicker. I highly recommend this product. It is very easy and safe to use. The potential for the use of this product is unlimited. Make sure you pick one of these up for the family. You will not be disappointed.
