Yes, the MotoCoat sprayer is capable of spraying all interior and exterior surfaces with latex paint similar to the Flexio series, but if the spray gun and/or cup has been used for solvent based materials, All materials need to be properly and completely cleaned from both the gun and cup prior to using interior/exterior architectural coatings. Many of these solvent-based materials, such as bed liners and under coatings, are harder to clean/remove completely so it may be necessary to purchase a new front end and cup prior to painting with other materials. Bed liner and undercoating materials contain high VOC and should not be mixed in any way with other paint materials. Most parts from the Flexio spray gun such as container, suction tube, container seal will work with your MotoCoat. Different spray tip and gun from different brand will not work with your MotoCoat. A:  If you are spraying an oil base coating we recommend you use mineral spirits, warm soapy water, clean water, and lubricate the O-ring on the back of the front end. Paint thinner may have too high of a flashpoint. We don't recommend anything with a flashpoint of under 100 degrees. Feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251.

A:  Thank you for reaching out to us. MotoCoat can be use with exterior oil based paints and thinning might be required. Do not spray or clean with liquids having a flash point of less than 100ºF (38ºC), reference the paint can. Flash point is the temperature at which a fluid can produce enough vapor to ignite.
