The air power adjustments and paint flow settings provide the control you need and the finish you want for every piece. From chalk, milk and latex paints to stains, urethanes and sealers, the Studio Pro is designed to spray any coating to create the look you want. Two different nozzles allow you to spray chalk-type, milk and other decorative paints (thinning may be required) as well as stains, sealers and lacquers.

Yes, thin with “Floetrol” per directions. Also check air flow, consistency& distance from sprayed surface.

I haven’t used Kilz with an HVLP. A personal preference as I don’t like the extra cleaning. I use all water based products.

I don’t think so. This is an air sprayer, it paints by spitting little globs of paint out and the air causes them to gel together on contact. When you look at it closely it’s too lumpy for a car finish. Ok for furniture.
