While my particular unit is actually square to the best of my ability to confirm, the *measurements* are way off. The entire 4ft section looks to be "stretched", so the markings are more than 1/16" off at the end. That might not seem like much, but any error can easily cascade through an entire project. I'm working on a project where the gap between pieces is 1/16", so the error on this square is my *entire* wiggle room....

Hit and miss
I bought this square thinking those who wrote a bad review just weren't doing it right because there were plenty of good reviews. Used it three times and each time my line was off. The amount off square is seemingly imperceptible but by the end of the line the deviation is obvious. Went back to the store, paid a little more money and got perfectly straight lines with the new one. I'll just use this one as a boomerang and see if it ever comes back to me because it's useless for drywall.

Great tool
I've owned several over 50 years. This one works perfectly. I use it for OSB mostly. Most recently used to cut 1- 4x8 peg board sheet into 4-2x4 sheets. But have used similar squares with dry wall board, this is a excellent example of good tool
