Use this 8-1/2 in. Mini Drywall Lifter for lifting drywall sheet. This professional-quality tool is both durable and lightweight with a compact design. It is made of heavy-duty steel and features a vertical toe kick. Just place the sheet of drywall into the desired location, place the toe of the mini lifter under the bottom of the drywall and push down on the heel of the roll lifter with your shoe to raise the drywall panel to the desired height.

A:  Maximum is maybe 1 inch

A:  Cannot say to actual height, don't have it in front of me and never thought to measure, but it is quite sufficient to position drywall to meet the sheet above, or against the ceiling joist if hanging the panels vertically instead of horizontal. Additional height is easily obtained by placing lifter on something.
