Can this be installed under carpet and laminant woodflooring or is it just for under tile? Also can it be installed on a basement floor?

This is designed for applcation under thinset. You can use it under laminate flooring if you use self-leveling to cover it. you can discuss install tips with our tech support directly at 800-875-5285

If my space requires more than one mat, can I connect the mats to just one thermostat?

you can use more than one mat, but you CANNOT wire them together to one another. Each mat will go individually back to the thermostat. Also make sure you dont go over 15 amps on one thermostat
