Hi Jennifer, thank you for your interest and question with Way Basics. When assembled and used right side up per assembly instructions, the cubes are very strong and stable as we only use 3M industrial grade adhesive so unfortunately, once assembled, it cannot be taken apart but if for any reason they came apart due to other factors (ex: extreme humidity) then yes, you can always add new adhesive strips to re-attach. Also note that all our products are backed up by lifetime warranty so you can always reach out to us and we will make sure you're 100% satisfied. Let me know anything else I can help with. Have a great day! Jimmy Chiang, Founder and CEO Way Basics - family owned since 2008 jimmy@waybasics.com or 949 229 1662
Hi Bill, thank you for reaching out. When assembled and used right side up as per the assembly instructions the cubes are very strong and can hold lots of weight. The recommended maximum load is 50 lbs. Let me anything else I can assist with. Have a great day! Poor quality. Don't waste your money.

Hi lluvsg4evr, thank you for your interest and question with Way Basics. Great idea! Our products are paintable, but you will need to prepare the surface first before doing so. Make sure the surface is dry and free of any dust or other material that may hinder the adhesion of the paint. It will also be necessary to use a primer on the surface before painting to assure you get the best possible result. Because our products are water resistant, painting directly on the boards without a primer will create the paint to “bead up” similar to what may happen if water comes into contact with the surface. When choosing a primer, we recommend using a product that will bond to surfaces such as paper, formica or a similar nonporous material. As long as you use a good primer, you will be able to use a water based paint and paint the product to your liking. Please note that painting, cutting boards, and DIY Way Basics products is at your own risk with no returns or exchanges. Let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of any further assistance. Have a great weekend! Hi Raf, thank you for your interest and question with Way Basics. The cubes are very strong and stable when assembled and used as per the assembly guides, however, we don't recommend using it as regular stairs. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Yeah, no. They are in no way sturdy enough to withstand that. Sorry. I really wish I had returned the ones I have left.
Yes, but they will collapse shortly thereafter. Your Hotel California will fall out followed by Pink Floyd also making a hasty retreat. :) Sorry, it's true. The look great, but are just poorly made.
