A:  Yes it should. It took the water out of a 4 ft pool.

A:  Yes. We use it to empty the water from our jacuzzi and it works great!

A:  This non automatic utility pump will take water out of your basement. Be sure the pump is setting in water at least 2 5/8" deep before plugging it in and it will take the water down to 1/8".

A:  That pump works well for me to pump out our outside1700 gallon fish pond, to change the water, fast and effective.

A:  No…we have the pump on a timer, at the power source. Ours was wired for that option, inside the house…that was a option, that our landscaper recommended. 

A:  No. Mine kept running even after I unplugged it when it was still in my pool.

A:  I wish!!! While this is a great water pump, it does not shut off...

A:  Hello Customer, Thank you for your question. These pumps are manual operation only. They don't not have automatic features. You must stay with the pump the entire time it is running and must unplug it as soon as the water is gone. Thank you again for your question,

A:  Not really. It sits pretty close to the surface so if there's things like leaves, they'll gather around the pump. Some may get sucked under it and clog the intake on the underside. If it's really small debris like dirt/mud, it will pump it. I wouldn't recommend that since that tends to be abrasive and it could erode the impeller. Basically, if it fits through the intake hole, it will get pumped through.

A:  This pump is designed to remove water from small spaces. This unit can pump dirty water with 1/2" soft solids without getting clogged. The unit must sit on a solid surface.
