if you are trying to hit the stud you should use 2"-2 1/2" nail since the product and sheetrock account for 1" combined. no harm is using a longer nail
15sq ft I believe.
I would say borderline. It is definitely not smooth, but not as ruff as rough cut lumber. If you are grabbing the headboard with your hands, I don't think you need to worry about splinters. Probably best to get help changing the sheets so they don't snag as you are putting them on.
8 individual pieces all are approximately the same length and width but there is some variations.
NO! You're lucky if the fake "weathered" spray on finish makes it out of the box without 100 little white chips and flakes. It is not aged /weathered or stained. And the acid wash will react with your poly and turn white.
Through the face but it makes them look even more rustic
The boards are rough and would not sand well.
This is very light weight wood use construction adhesive to glue them to the drywall. Mike
Best to glue and nail with finishing nails. Will hold your pots and pans and conceal the nails well.
You can either use an adhesive like Liquid Nails or a brad nailer. I attached mine with 18 gauge brad nails and I've had no issues.
