A clean board with no loose knots. Great material for a deck board. See if you could make some at 16' lengths, so I have less joints. Most of the decks I do are 15 X 15' square in size.

Bought a large amount for the back deck so I had HD pick the order. Part was a full skid the rest was loose. The loose boards had some good color to them, but most were checking. The skid was about 10% unusable, 40% crappy but will live with them 30% ok and 20% good boards. Color was very weak if even present. Stamps were always on the side with the crown. I would find boards with great color, but checked. Great color, but on the wrong side (crown or cup up instead of down). Some would make good hockey sticks. Then when you finally find good color, crown correct and no stamp, there is a big knot in it. Next time I will just buy regular green treat and stain it like I did for the front porch. I did go back and hand pick 20 16' of this type of board and they were good, but I had to go through an additional 25 to find good ones. At least with wood it is easy to change out individual boards.
