You should wait a few days before attempting to paint and stain the wood.

When can I paint this board? Paint type?
Asked by BCB March 11, 2016If you desire to paint pressure-treated wood with an oil based paint, make sure the wood is dry before application. Pour some water over the surface. If it beads, wait until the board dries; if it is quickly absorbed into the wood, it's ready to be painted.
can I stain weathershield boards
