    Answer This Question

A:  Never use pressure-treated lumber for raised beds for you vegetable garden.

    by|Aug 27, 2016

A:  Yes. MCA-treated lumber used to construct raised vegetable and flowerbeds are increasingly popular and practical. Scientific tests prove there is no significant uptake of preservatives into plants. And treated wood used for tomato stakes, flowerbed edging, planters, retaining walls, trellises and compost bins have the added advantage of lifetime durability.

Except for not being able to get all straight pieces
I bought (3) 2 x 12 x 8 pieces to cut stringers. probably took 30 minutes of going through to find 3 straight boards. Actually only found 2 the 3rd had some bowing in it
