If I were to use a router on board edges to round out similar to 5/4" x6" deck board edges, will I have to restain for a consistent color? If so, what stain should be used to match the board color?

Answer This Question

You shouldn’t, but it partially depends on how long the product has been in service related to how the colors have changed due to weathering.

          What Customers Say
Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews

Customers say the pressure treated lumber from Home Depot is generally of good quality, with many appreciating its straightness and durability for various projects such as decks and raised beds. However, several reviews noted that the wood tends to be quite wet upon purchase, which can lead to warping as it dries. Overall, customers found the pricing fair for the quality, though some expressed a desire for better selection to avoid imperfections like knots and warping.

Not the best, but better than most of their wood. Most of the boards were straight but the edge cuts were no where near dimensional. Very wavy, almost like a live edge

          great for raised garden beds
I purchased eight of these boards and Home Depot cut all of them in half for me as I only had room for a 4 x 4 garden bed. No need to be concerned about the treatment. It has not impaired my vegetables at all. They are growing great plus the wood looks awesome! All my boards were straight with no warping, even after in stalling.

This was a good straight piece of treated lumber for me to use on my deck restoration project. Combined with the treated 2x2s I also bought for the deck handrail reinforcement supports, we made a considerable difference in the sturdiness of this deck. See the attached photo.
