The panels were thinner than the original ones I had, however they do fit the repair slots well. I purchased two sets because I had intended to fix two sections however I only ended up using barely one in total. Quality was good for the repair use but did not come with the post caps.

I wanted to make a privacy corner off my three-season porch entrance, an area I can develop into an outdoor patio with a grill and seating. But I also wanted the height of the fence to allow me to still visit with neighbors, so I opted for Weatherables' Pembroke 5 ft. high x 6 ft. wide privacy fence. As I unpacked the Pembroke Panel Kit, I was impressed with the quality and durability of all the components -- the tongue & groove panels even had interior ribs, designed to fortify each panel; the top & bottom rails were also of an equally thick & sturdy quality; the bottom rail has an aluminum I-beam running the length of the component for rigidity and strength. The kit didn't include any directions, so I printed out the installation guide found on this page. As a novice in fence builds, I found the directions a bit lacking when it came to illustrations of the assembly how-to and sequencing, and the only video I found was on the Weatherables website, and only addressed post installs. Some more detailed directions & illustrations would be highly recommended. Once I got the first post installed -- I used one of Weatherables' beefy aluminum I-beams specially designed for giving the post its outstanding wind-resistance -- I was ready to prep and install the bottom rail and begin the section assembly. The components were easy to work with, and slid into the rails smoothly. Soon, I had the section complete, and lifted it into position to install the rails into the corner post. It took a bit of balancing, since I didn't have a helper, but eventually it was complete, and looked great! After putting the bottom rail for my next section into the corner post, I set the post with a quick-setting post concrete. Really like the look and solid quality of the Pembroke -- this vinyl fencing is of a superior quality to others on the market, and at a surprisingly affordable price. I highly recommend the Weatherables line of vinyl fencing!

The Pembroke 6 foot high by 8 foot wide White Vinyl Privacy Fence Panel was the perfect solution ...
The Pembroke 6 foot high by 8 foot wide White Vinyl Privacy Fence Panel was the perfect solution for providing privacy from the street for our backyard. As you can see in the picture, we have recently relocated and have a plethora of projects in progress. The actual assembly of the fencing was pleasantly easy. The installation, while simple, was more of a challenge due to our soil that includes rocks and caliche and required heavy manual labor for the post holes. The quality of the fencing is comparable to the fencing we had professionally installed for $6,000 at our former home. The Pembroke panels have a great appearance and the semi-gloss finish is consistent and flawless. The matching support columns are made of a heavy gauge matching vinyl and are very strong. It was momentarily stressful when there were NO instructions included with the product, but they were easily downloaded from the Home Depot website. We look forward to enjoying the no maintenance and privacy this fencing will provide for many years.

The Pembroke White Vinyl Privacy Fence Panel Kit is an easy way to add definition to your yard. I chose to use the panels to isolate an area for my trashcan‘s so they cannot be seen from the street. First, the kit did not come with instructions. However, it was easy to assemble and since I was doing it myself as a one person job are used several strap clamps to hold the pieces together as I assembled. Next, get those together very easily with built-in tabs that lock into place. Third, the bottom of the posts were about 30 inches long which allowed me to send them into the soil platform. Are used an auger to make the post holes and then level the fence sections to each other. Finally, I filled in the holes and washed the fence down. The project was easy and was completed within about an hour and a half. Since I put the panels together myself the only difficulty I had was moving them into position. But that wasn’t that difficult.

I obtained the Pembroke Weatherables privacy fence panel kit on a try-out basis. The kit included 16 slats, a bottom and top rail and an aluminum insert to make a 6 feet high by 8 feet wide privacy fence. I also obtained two hollow end posts (not included in the kit) and two end caps. The posts are 108 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter. All materials are made of heavy duty commercial-grade vinyl that never needs staining or painting. The panel kit, minus the posts, weighs less than 60 lbs. Installation: For the DIY-er without experience installing fences, this project of building and installing one privacy panel wasn't too hard, but you do need to take out at least one full day, and you'll need to obtain additional materials and have certain tools available. The panel kit doesn't come with any instructions, however, they can be found on Home Depot's website for this product. Here is the link: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/32/3294d26b-42aa-4396-acaa-d8a3e9fcffc6.pdf. Be mindful that these instructions include installation tips for different kinds of Pembroke Weatherables fences, so be sure to follow the correct instructions. For one privacy panel and two posts, you'll need to dig two holes of up to 36 inches in depth and 12 inches in diameter. This may or may not be challenging, depending on the ground you have to work with. You can dig the old-fashioned way with various types of shovels, or you can use an auger specially made for drilling post holes. The latter you can rent from the Home Depot. We dug holes the old-fashioned way, which is more time-consuming and labor-intensive. The posts are hollow and you do not need wood insert posts. In order to install the posts, you'll also need to obtain at least four 80-lb bags of QuickCrete fast-drying concrete mix. At my local Home Depot, one bag of QuickCrete cost $4.62. We also obtained heavy-duty cardboard tubes (about $13 for one) as well as several bags of all-purpose gravel ($4.88 per bag). The cardboard tubes, we were advised, are put in the post holes and the fence posts are put in the cardboard tubes. The cement mix is then poured inside the tubes rather than in the post hole itself. The area outside the cardboard tube is filled with gravel. This makes for a more secure post. To make the cement mix, we used a heavy-duty electric paddle mixer for mixing paints, which we happened to own. You may be able to use a ready-made cement which can be purchased at the Home Depot, and which would eliminate having to mix your own dry cement with water. However, there's nothing in the instructions for the panel kit to allude to that. The instructions advise in what order to proceed with regard to putting the slats for the privacy panel into the rails, inserting this into the post openings (the bottom and top rail insert into the posts and are held in place with special clips inside) and securing the second post into the post hole. It took us a full weekend between digging the holes by hand, making the cement mix, building and securing the panel and posts, plus filling up the holes with gravel, followed by general clean-up. In my case, my privacy panel is built and affords a small measure of privacy between my yard and the neighbor's yard. I was sent and used two end posts, which will not allow any future panels to be added on either side. However, if you want to make a larger privacy fence, be sure to obtain the correct posts for this. It remains to be seen how well this privacy fence holds up over time and in bad weather. Being that the posts have to be secured in cement, I don't think it's going to fall over anytime soon.

This 6ft. high x 8 ft. long white vinyl pivacy fence is made by Weatherables and the model is called the Penbroke. I have installed other vinyl fences before but this is the first time I have installed this type, where the panel sections slide into the top rail and bottom rail. It was quite simple and took only about 5 minutes to put the section together. In my application I used an 8ft. section and a 6ft. section. I used the 5x5 vinyl heavy duty posts only. I used post hole diggers to set my first post 22" deep. This might not seem deep enough to most, but here in Arizona we have alot of rocks in the ground so it was deep enough. After setting the post, I used cement in the hole up to about 4 " from ground level. I wanted to give extra support, so I careful built a funnel type system and poured extra cement in threw the opening where the bottom rail slides in, making sure not to come up to high inside the post. The instructions explain how to do it. Then let this setup till the next day. The difference in this system is that you dig all your holes first, but don't set them! ( only the first one). The next day I was able to start putting the panel section together. Start by getting the bottom rail ( it has a very nice heavy metal piece that is inserted, to give the rail more support). Slide it into the post until you hear the little tab click. Now get your top rail and snap into post also, then begin to slide each panel into the top and bottom rail. This is the easy part! You will need 2 people for this step. Then take your second post and snap the other 2 ends of the rails into that post. This is when you set that post. This is the part that makes this system different... We used 2 sections for privacy in an area beside our patio. We really like the way it looks now! We are going to add a brick flower bed along the bottom of the fence next to complete the look my wife wants! This is the highest quality vinyl fence I have ever worked with, and I highly recommend it to anyone!
