The Performer Platinum Grill features an exclusive Touch-N-Go gas ignition system that ignites charcoal briquets with the push of a button. Especially handy is an LCD countdown cook timer with a large readout . The timer attaches to the grill or can be easily removed if you’d prefer to take it inside or keep it with you. The grill’s classic porcelain-enameled bowl and lid with a One-Touch Cleaning system and high capacity ash catcher make clean up hassle free. Storage options are plentiful with the CharBin storage container which protects your charcoal from the elements and the built-in Thermoset work table that provides a great work surface for preparing your next grilled masterpiece. Also features a wire bottom shelf, no-rust aluminum vent and a glass-reinforced nylon handle.

Awesome Grill !!!
Simple to assemble. It has the same quality as you would expect from any Weber product. For the price a cover should be included. It could use a little better construction/quality to he plastic wheels but it works great on the wood deck. Table top is proportionate to the grill and cleans easy. When the lid is in the holder it crowds the grill making it difficult to reach all around. It could use an actual storage bin for little things like a lighter, cooking gloves, apron and putting the cover and utensils away when not needed. The charcoal holders, thermometer, timer, ash catcher and charcoal bin are awesome. The gas starter is perfect and no lighter fluid is required!!! Which means no more expesive charcoal required!!!

Very well built and good design
Assembly was a little challenging as my balcony is only 4 feet by approx. 20 feet. However, it took me under 1 hour and that's including getting the tools and discarding the packaging for recycling.
Here are a few things I would like to be available with this BBQ:
1. Larger cooking grates: the one provided are ok for general BBQ, but to sear a steak, I would have preferred having larger grills.
2. The coal container only open on one side. I wished it was possible that it can open to the front so that this BBQ can be used on narrow balconies like mine.

Great Upgrad
This is a terrific grill if you love the taste of charcoal grilling and the convenience of a gas accelerated start- up. It starts up fast and does a good job of grilling to different doneless levels. The kettle lid is much more convenient. We love this grill.

Great product, except for the parts that don't fit
Love the grill. Unfortunately, many of the parts/screws did not fit together properly. The ash pan was bent and deformed in the box and I had to reshape in order to fit. In the final stages of the assembly the pre-drilled holes to connect the arms to the side flanges to the table top didn't line up properly. One of the screws stripped and then broke completely and then I couldn't remove the screw head. I just had to leave it in place so one corner of the table top is loose.

Great product!!
The grill was assembled by the folks at Home Depot.
The whole experience was painless. I shopped online. Made my purchase. My son picked up the grill at the Home Depot nearest his home.
I have a grill just like this one so I know it is going to be just fine

Easy grill
Grill went together without problems until I noticed the axle rod was missing. There were no holes in the shipping box, this was on a Sunday. Sent an e mail to Webber that afternoon, got a reply on Monday, new axle on Thursday. Great service. I use this grill a couple of times a week, the propane lighter fires the charcoal with no fuss.

Great grill.
After having used many other grills, I have returned to Weber. And this model is sweet. The ability to turn on the gas to light the charcoal is really convenient, and the work surface is great. Very sturdy and solid.

Weber performer performs
very easy to use. the gas ignition works with just a push of a button and eliminates the need for having to use smelly starter fluid. I love using charcoal again.
another thing that is super easy is the vents in the bottom that make it easy to swish the ashes in the attached holding pot. the grill also has a caddy attached for storing a bag of charcoal. It stays perfectly dry under the covered grill.

Excellent!
This grill works beautifully. It is so nice to not have to fool with lighting the charcoal since the propane lights it. The best of both worlds. I expect to cook often on this grill.
