Uncomplicated class
When my new grill arrived, all I had to do was attach the lid. It's an uncomplicated appliance that does what it says it will do.

My Daily Driver
This has become my most used bbq, and I have a Kamado grill as well as a gas grill. Love how easy it is. The temperature range is superb, especially at the lower end, so nothing gets burned. The 1400 unit is perfect for a couple. Burgers, fish, veggies, everything I have tried in a few months has been great.

An excellent grill that surprised me
I've been cooking thick (1 1/2") steaks on this grill, and when you figure out how long to cook them per side it works great. I wish the included card gave us some help on this, but I've managed to learn without ruining any steaks. It says to use a roasting rack (there isn't one for the Q1400) and cook for the same times as the thinner cuts, which makes no sense to me. I think those instructions were written for the Q2400, but it's not the same grill. You'll have to use trial and error, it does cook differently than a gas or charcoal grill for sure. The Q1400 does a fine job of imparting a grilled flavor to meats, must be because of the thick smoke that permeates the small area under the cover. The Q1400 is a better grill than the Q2400 in my opinion, because it concentrates the same total heat output in a smaller area. More heat under the food and thicker smoke. Unless you really need the extra size of the Q2400, you'll be happier with the Q1400.

Needs help!
The first time I turned this grill on I was ready to give it 5 stars. It got really hot. Hot enough to properly grill a steak. The second time I used it was still good. The third time not so good. It now has a cold spot clear across the grill that can't be used. No heat. And the heating element turns off too quickly and stays off too long to properly grill anything. It's more like a steamer now.

No Temperature gauge
Great little grill but no temperature gauge. Only several white lines. 20min. then you guess how many white lines to get right temperature.

Weber Q1400 electric grill
Works even when it's windy outside. Easy to clean. The drip pan size is very good and catches everything so no mess on the floor. Perfect with the toss away aluminum pan. The bowl can be removed for easy cleaning. I lined it with aluminum foil to make it even easier. If they had precut toss away aluminum liners for the bowl I would buy them in a heartbeat. They would only need to be made of aluminum foil but to the right size. Anyway so far enjoying this grill on our condo lanai. Gas grills are not an option in condos.

Works great !
Got this grill as I moved to an apartment with a balcony - sadly my charcoal days came to a hault- now obviously it lacks the flavor of cooking on. Charcoal but compare it to a gas propane grill it’s the same if not better since I don’t have to worry about running out of propane. I saw a few brands when researching electric grill but went with Weber due to reviews and my use of a Weber charcoal grill previously. It’s worth the extra money spent compared to cheaper brands

Love my electric Weber!!!
It’s so easy to use and perfect every time! It’s like a convection oven. Turn on high for 20 minutes to preheat and then just follow recipe for what heat is called for. Just leave the lid closed and let Weber do the magic!
