The Weber Q 2200 propane gas BBQ grill features a 2-Piece porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grate covering 280 sq. in. that will easily sear several hot dogs and hamburger patties at once. This portable powerhouse is constructed with a cast aluminum lid and body augmented with a glass-reinforced nylon frame that will withstand frequent use and transport. The revolutionary Q-shaped stainless-steel burner supplies consistent heat to every corner of the grill, capable of 12,000 maximum BTUs-variable by way of the side-mounted infinite control valve. Swap out one of the cook grates for a Weber Original Q Griddle (sold separately) to utilize half of the grill for cooking bacon, eggs and pancakes.

Perfect portable grill
I love my Q2200 grill. It has excellent temperature control -- unlike some other grills that cook everything too fast. This is a legitimate smaller scale version of the larger Weber grills. The build quality is high -- just as you'd expect from Weber.
I bought the griddle add-on and it makes for the perfect combination for tailgates before games. You can basically cook anything on it. I also bought the deluxe grill stand to keep it by the pool beneath the gazebo for the ultimate convenience and "permanent" placement. This frees up space I would typically use on the table with other small grills.

The perfect size grill
I have a Q 200 that I purchased 15 years ago. It is the ideal size for two people. A 12” cast iron skillet fits perfectly in which I cook bacon regularly.

Long lasting and a great cooktop.
I bought the previous version of this BBQ about 18 years ago and it was left outside through all seasons. Even through all the abuse this thing is a champ! Our weather is so mild on the west coast that I often don’t use the stove indoors and BBQ all year long. I pulled it apart a couple of years ago, cleaned the crud out of burner tube and reset the igniter and it fires right up. This year I replaced the cast iron grill with a new one and it’s like brand new. It’s a solid, well built BBQ and has stood the test of time.

Perfect grill for small cooks
I purchased the older model (Q-200) in 2008 and it has performed exceedingly well. I had to replace the regulator a few years ago and have had no further problems. It is a perfect size to accommodate a 12” cast iron skillet for cooking bacon. It also does a wonderful job cooking steaks & veggies.

Good little grill if it’s not too windy.
Well made compact / portable grill. I use it on a balcony and it’s small enough to be out of the way, while still giving you a workable sized cooks surface. The temp gauge is a nice addition as this grill gets over 400 degrees if the lid is left down. The flame adjustment does work well enough to dial in your target temp. It’s not the best in windy conditions however. Because it’s designed so that both sides of the lid leave open spaces, any real wind plays havoc with internal temp. This is not a problem on calm days with the occasional breeze.

Nice little grill but could use more heat output. And if you leave the cover open difficult to use with even the slightest breeze.

If you are using your grill with the adapter hose to a larger 20 lb. refill/exchange LP tank, it sounds like your grill may be in a safety mode known as “bypass." What’s happening is that the regulator thinks there’s a gas leak, so it reduces the pressure. Follow these instructions to reset the bypass safety mode. This is also the way you would want to start your grill each and every time.
Open the lid
Make sure the control knob is in the off position
Turn your LP tank on all the way
Wait 60 seconds
Turn the burner to start/high (first position to the left)
Hit your igniter
Close the lid to preheat to 500-550°F
For troubleshooting purposes, I would suggest using your grill with a 14 or 16 oz. disposable LP cylinder as well. That will let you know right away if the issue is with the grill, or with the adapter hose/LP tank.

Fantastic grill
This is a perfect small and portable grill. It starts super fast, gets evenly hot and cooks beautifully. I keep it on my deck and use it all year. I can cook for up to about 6-8 people with average appetites. And you can easily lift it off the stand and pop it in the trunk of your car.

Perfect / Portable Grill
I have been using Weber grills for about 35 years now and it recently bought the Q2200 to take with us when my wife and I are traveling with our travel trailer. Set-up was easy out of the box and the quality of construction was as I expected from Weber - spot on! Grill comes to temperature quickly and so far I have grilled burgers, chicken breasts and a pork loin roast to perfection. I am very pleased with my purchase!
