I have a family room that is open two stories high and this ladder saved me tons of money from renting scaffolding for the paint job. I was able to dust off the vents on top that left my ceiling a bit black. It’s a great investment for anyone with high ceilings.

Very stable. Perfect to reach my Velux Roof Window in grand room to replace it and get trim installed. Will use it to install direct screening on back porch from walk out as reach there is nearly perfect rather than set up scaffold that is difficult to move. Neighbor used it to reach all of his open foyer for painting. Only issue is it really takes two to set up and move as it's 12' overall and 10' to platform and just a bit too heavy for me to handle on my own. I store on ladder hooks on lower level shop wall. For the money it's worth it as a time saver and for me it already paid for itself!

This is an excellent ladder. I only wish it had built in wheels. It stands almost 9 feet tall but is light enough for me to carry. The podium allowed me to stand comfortably to use a gas powered hedge trimmer and pole chainsaw to (safely) cut down a 15’ hedge to a height of 9’. I have a view of the gutters I cleaned and while I was up there I trimmed the tree as high as I could .

I am so in love with this ladder. I am 5'4 and 125 lb and it is easy to move around. It has saved me hiring countless people to do work in my house where I can't reach. My daughter also liked to decorate it for Christmas since it isn't leaving my living room anytime soon due to the amount of work I have left.

This is a nice and sturdy enough unit I think primarily for inside use. I noted that the foot pad attachment partially detached on one side on one of the legs and held in place with the central rivets. I tried to put it back in place but it would not back all the way to sit flush with the leg. I believe Werner needs to redesign the attachment. and possibly add more rivets near the edges of the pad. I chose not to return it because I was planning to use it around the house and could use it as is if I remained careful when using it. I would thing most people expect a ladder for rugged use and not something to baby like a camera!

I'm 76 and bought this ladder to fuel my airplane, which is a bush plane with large tires.. Other ladders felt unsafe to me... Not this one though... It's rock solid and I feel completely safe on it, especially handling 30 pound gas cans. Very well built and easy to use.. Not heavy either.. A wise choice on my part..

Nice ladder, and relatively a bargain compared with other ladders of the same reach. Quite large overall so think about storage. I bought this ladder to reach my garage ceiling which is about 13 or 14 feet - it's too tall in my garage for me to stand on the platform, but that's not the ladder's fault. I did find the descriptions of it's height capacity confusing because it is a very different style of ladder than a traditional ladder. When the ladder is open, the height of the platform is 115 inches (9.5 feet) and the overall ladder height is 150 inches (12.5 feet). The base of the ladder is 36 inches wide, and the width at the top is 19 inches wide. It is pretty heavy, too, maybe about 50 or 60 pounds. The ladder itself is very sturdy. The ladder is comfortable to work from even if you are not on the platform, and the platform is an excellent place for tools.

Love the ladder. I have a 16ft high patio ceiling and this made hanging ceiling fans and power washing much easier. I'll look at buying a 10ft reach ladder now to replace my old 8ft. It's a little heaver but not too much for one person.

As the facility manager at a large church I wanted a ladder with a platform as I change out a lot of lights and do repairs up high. Today I did our annual raising of our 20' long Pentecost banner that requires me to cast fishing line over a 45' high beam, tie it to 100# line and then raise it up and tie it off to the organ loft! (See attached pictures) The platform ladder gave a more stable platform for casting over the beam (I'm not a fisherman!) and then tying it off. The platform ladder did really help and I would recommend it.

It's like wheels on luggage; why did it take so long and can't imagine life without it. I got it because of 12' ceilings in home. I never really felt safe and stable working from my old style 8' ladder. But as I have gotten older it became apparent that I could no longer work at that height on that ladder. So when I saw this podium ladder I new I needed one. No stores carried the 12' reach even though all houses in area have high ceilings. So when I saw it marked down online I bought and had it shipped to store: arrived about a month before the projected date. Finally used it after a month in garage but instead of inside I used it to trim some palm trees that were getting too high to reach. Wow what a difference! Not only because of the podium it also has a wider stance and better footing, really important when using on sand. It was so stable I had to keep reminding myself not to reach to far. I tried some other brands called "platform" , scary, My old ladder was better. I guess the price is high; cost more than the scaffolding I have but my opinion after using it worth every penny.

Outstanding ladder. Just what I need to reach those high areas and feel the safety of the platform work area. Just wish it were easier to use your Veterans discount when ordering online or when its delivered to the store. They wouldn't allow it. But the ladder is great can't miss.

Great ladder. However-it is not an 14 foot reach unless you are "reaching" literally. 14 ft reach with 8 ft podium. numbers are not matching unless you are literally "reaching". some advertising issues here. normally if you see a ladder with a 14 ft reach-that means it has a 10 ft podium and calculates a person at least 5ft with an armpit at 4ft. 10podium+4 ft to a persons armpits=14ft. 8ft podium+4 ft to armpits=12ft reach-not 14 ft. so say the least we had to order another ladder to get a 10 ft podium with 4 ft to the armpits you need to order the 16ft reach. because it was not as advertised unless a person standing stretching, which does not qualify as a working ladder rating because no one continually stretches for long periods. so that is awful. but the ladder quality is great.

            Love this Ladder
Got this ladder to be able to trim tall trees in the backyard (note the Ficus in the background of the attached pic). It does that and more. No way would I have been able to put up the plywood on the windows in the pic without the podium aspect of this ladder. As for the trees, I feel much safer on this ladder with the podium and the rail. Having a fear of heights, I consider getting up high on most ladders an E-ticket ride. No so on this one. The only caveat I have is that this ladder is a bit awkward to move around owing to its weight. Bottom line is that I highly recommend this ladder.

            Great ladder
I set up and decorate big artificial Christmas trees. Purchased the 9' podium ladder and loved it and then purchased the 12' ladder for my 16' - 20' trees. When standing on the podium, it's incredibly stable and it's nice because I have both hands free to use to put ornaments on. I no longer have to go up and down the ladder with one bulb, I fill a sack and hang them off the top of the ladder. I use to borrow my brothers 16' ladder, which is difficult to move around by myself. But this 12' ladder is easy to maneuver and carry. It's a great buy and a great price and I received it 2 weeks earlier than expected.

            Excellent product by Werner
Bought the 10ft, 6ft and 5ft Werner podium ladders for my garage door business. After 5 months of regular use, I have never been more impressed or more importantly, safer! With this business you are constantly on ladders, to me this is the most dangerous part. The podium ladders, gives you a solid platform to work on and more reach to get the job done. Also the platform on the smaller ladders can act as a work bench, which is handy to have. I plan on getting the 12 ft. as well. Great ladders!

            Amazing!!!
We got the 14' Reach (comparable to a 10' stepladder). The 14' reach is based on someone being about 5'6" I believe, and it proved to meet those expectations perfectly. Simply fabulous ladder! Much more comfortable to work from a platform, not to mention safer!!! It is very tall, but due to its reasonable weight, it not too difficult to maneuver despite its height. It was particularly useful on an A-frame wall with lots of windows that needed caulking. Not only made the job feasible, but able to do it comfortably. Would even consider buying another one in different size to replace my smaller step ladders. Due to its 10'+ size, transporting it may be an issue. That being said, it did fit in a 2000 Honda Odyssey with a very long bed and a front seat in the reclined position. We were able to put it inside and close the door. Never expected that, though that feature might be a plus for the old Honda rather than the ladder. Definitely recommend this ladder and the HD price was excellent.

Perfect height, weight, stability and problem solver for me.
I've 10.5 foot ceilings and own a Werner 8ft aluminum ladder which scared me. Nothing wrong with it. I just never felt stable on it. First thing I did when I brought home this ladder was set it up in my living room, climb it and touch my ceiling. I had no fear of it, felt very stable and fell in love with it. It doesn't get narrow at the top, the platform/podium is a nice size and the top of it where you have ample room to place tools, etc gives me a very secure feeling. I can now finish painting my condo and can do the cut in myself. I can pick this ladder up, move it, fold it and move it all by myself. To whomever came up with this God Bless You. I suffer from vertigo issues but with that rail at the top it doesn't affect me on this ladder. Now I no longer have to ask my neighbors to change the batteries in my smoke detectors. I'm very pleased with it. I highly recommend it to anyone who has vertigo or fear of height issues. Just make sure you have someone with you when you try. I had them open it at the store for me and tried it there. Thank you Werner and Home Depot for developing a ladder that solves all kinds of problems. The lovely lavender paint was also bought at Home Depot, Bher Ultra.

I bought this ladder to install a ceiling fan on a 16' ceiling. An electrician wanted $ 255 to do the job I bought the ladder for $299 so effectively it cost me $44 to install the ceiling fan and I got a free ladder. The ladder seems wobbly as you carry it around but once it's set up it's solid the platform is very stable you forget your standing 10' in the air. When making purchases of this type I compare Home Depot prices with Amazon this time Amazon had the ladder for $400+ and now they don't even have this size listed.

            Stable work platform, versatile ladder
Excellent step ladder with platform third step for applications where you will be in one spot and want a stable work platform. Almost like having a mini scaffold about 35 inches off the ground. Easily paint a 9 foot ceiling using this ladder, or install drapes, etc. Top of ladder offers tool storage as well as a curved recess for leaning against the ladder, making you feel very secure. Very well constructed, heavy duty, and very stable ladder. Top of ladder is about 6 feet from the ground. There are no steps higher than the platform, limiting the work height to the equivalent of a conventional five foot step ladder.

            It's all about the PODIUM!
The fiberglass construction really pays off as this ladder is incredibly light! Where it really shines is the podium. Old-school ladders would caution to never stand on the top landing, meaning if you needed to swivel around you typically had to get off the ladder and reposition. With the podium you have a landing, it supports up to 300 pounds, and the ability to gain access a full 360 degrees. At the top of the ladder are multiple locations to stow hammers, drills and any other tool you could think of.

The most stable step ladder I've every used.
Initial Impressions: When I first picked up the ladder I thought it wouldn't inspire a lot of confidence during use. It's relatively light for its size. Then I opened up the ladder as was immediately impressed with how smoothly and solidly it swung open. I find the easiest way to open this ladder is to stand with it squared to your chest, then grab the top of the standing platform and push it away from you, as this swings the back legs away from you and you can simply tilt the ladder down onto all four legs. Dimensions during use: The standing platform is 16x20 inches and is actually 3 feet 10 inches above the ground. The ladder's footprint is 44x28 inches. You can get it right up next to a wall facing any of three ways and be able to put your nose on what your working on. Issues during use: The ceilings in my house are range from 9 feet to 8 feet, so at 6' 1" I can't comfortably use the podium platform for long periods of time, like installing a ceiling fan. If I got my hands on a 2' 6" version, that would be the ultimate residential ceiling fan installation aid. However, my 5' 6" wife love using this ladder to load and unload heavy items from our large long-term storage shelves mounted 7 feet up the 10 foot walls in the garage. This has been a game changer as far as I'm concerned because she no longer has to ask me to help her see what's in those boxes up there or to bring stuff down. Conclusion: I can see why ladders from this company are so popular: they strike a good balance between weight and sturdiness. Usually, if any work around my house involves getting on a ladder that I can't get to with my mobile scaffolding (things above 11 feet) I contract that out. Now that I know a ladder can be this stable and convenient I will opt to get the ladder that fits the job and save myself some serious money overall. Years of using beat-down ladders has really tainted my experience with them. I can't wait to use this ladder when I build my backyard pergola in the next few weeks. It should be the right height and stable and sizable platform with its strong weight limit should be perfect for helping installation.
