This brass P-Trap is so much nicer than the cheap pvc set most people use. Way more durable than what I’ve previously used in remodels. Installation is simple with the slip joints and lock nuts. The matte black finish goes well with our bathroom finishes, even though it’s not exposed. Instructions are well written if you need them. Also the brass piping is easy to cut if lengths need to be modified.

This Westbrass solid brass,1.5 inch, sink P-trap fitting with a flat black anodized finish is a very high quality product that is ideal to use where the drain piping is exposed or where you want to have strong, leak free piping that will last for a long time. It has flexible soft rubber gaskets instead of the hard tapered ones that come with PVC drain piping. You won’t get leaks with these joints. The brass pipes will last for decades. There is no comparison between the appearance of this nicely finished flat black piping and traditional PVC. As shown in my pictures, I have a beautiful master bath vanity that I made with a live edge cedar top, quartz sink basins, pine log legs and an open hickory bottom shelf. Since the bottom area is open, you could see some of the drain piping from a distance and I wanted to make the plumbing appearance as attractive as the rest of the rustic vanity. This West brass P-trap set started me down that road. It was very easy to install. But as shown in the pictures, the P-trap drop was much larger than the standard, cheap PVC ones so I had to modify some of my other drain piping. It was still easy. I recommend this well-made brand of brass drain plumbing as a great buy and a better alternative to PVC.
