Q:Will this work with insinkerator disposal? The latch and lock versions?

1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Not familiar with the Lift and Latch version of garbage disposals. If they are using the "cage" still and locking the unit into the cage it should still work with this model

Answer This Question
A: The disposal stopper is removed by pulling up on the stopper. This is tight initially. I use a little bit of silicone grease or cooking oil on the O-Ring to help lubricate the stopper.

Answer This Question
A: The strainer pulls straight up, leaving only the metal ring behind. Rub a little Olive oil or better yet, silicone grease on the o-rings to make them slide better for you. I have had mine for years and they work really well at catching stray cutlery.

Deep disposal attachment for fireclay basin sink
If you have a fireclay kitchen sink, no doubt you already have custom countertop cuts, and have made adjustments for your plumbing below the sink, and you have built some form of support for the heavy sink....
When it comes time to install your garbage disposal, you'll most likely run into a commonly unthought problem - the standard garbage disposal connector (called a flange) is too short to clip on below the sink.
Normally you can clip on the garbage disposal under standard metal sinks in about 2 minutes after installing the support bracket, but with thicker fireclay sinks (and other composite materials now), you'll need a deeper disposal flange to connect the support bracket through to the inside of the actual usable sink.
We had to go up to home depot store to figure out what the "flange" was called -- searching for insinkerator connectors turns up all sorts of unneeded products.
After learning this part was called a "flange" , we ordered directly at the store, and it arrived within 1-2 days at the house.
The part clipped on like one would expect , was exactly as it looked in the picture, and turned out to be just the right depth for the country basin fireclay sink we had installed.
Overall, this was an easy purchase (once we found out the name of the product that is to say!)
If you go to home depot store to order, I suggest you go to the sink / shower / bathroom / kitchen fixture department, find an associate, and have them order it right there. Trying to find these products online can be a bit cumbersome.

This was perfect for a farm sink that had a longer "throat" between the sink and the garbage disposal connection. It made this connection very secure.
