Almost perfect!
This kit allowed me to rewire a 220V lamp I had purchased online. The 10-inch harp was larger than I preferred, but buying the pieces separately cost more than the kit. So I reused the original 8-inch harp making that a non-issue. Installation was super easy (even with slightly ambiguous instructions). My only complaint is the length of the cord set. I was rewiring a floor lamp and really could have used an additional foot or two.

The 3-Way Socket Kit had everything I needed to restore a lamp to functioning order. It is also useful in creating lamps out of bottles, vases, canisters, etc. The instructions were a little ambiguous and the illustration didn't always faithfully depict the actual parts; however, it was adequate to complete the task. The only disadvantage to purchasing a kit, while admittedly less expensive than purchasing the individual parts, was that you are limited to a 10"-high harp rather than a choice of an 8"-, 9"- and 10"-high harp and also limited to a 3-way rotary switch instead of a simple linear push on/off toggle more easily actuated by those with arthritic fingers or neurological problems.
