Brentford 52 in. LED Aged Walnut Ceiling Fan with Light Kit

Overall I am pretty happy with this fan. I can't say that I like the bubbles in the glass enclosure of the light, but it is not too bad. Assembly was a little troublesome as there are a lot of pieces. There are 3 pieces that go over the down rod and you need to make sure they are in the right order and orientation. Once those are in place the installation is pretty standard. You will need a stubby phillips screwdriver to work the screws that attach the canopy over the hanger bracket. There is also a rubber boot that has 4 holes that you will feed the wire through from the fan motor. This is to keep moisture out of the down rod. Really it does not do much as it does not stay in place. The ledge that goes over the down rod ball is not very wide and moving the wires around causes it to slip off. There is not much room to work between the hanger and the 2 canopies stacked between the hanger and the fan motor. Attaching the blades to the brackets is a little cumbersome as the screws are relatively small and the threads in the brackets are tight so you can't really start he screws well with your fingers. The blades seem to be plastic, probably because it can be installed outside. The light colored side is not very attractive in my opinion, especially with the black edges. I opted to use the darker side as that looks better and I like the darker color. It matches the color of the rest of the fan housing better. Attaching the blades to the fan motor was a little difficult. I've installed many fans over the years and some have retainers to hold the screws in the bracket. This fan does not so you need to hold the screw in the hole with the screwdriver as you flip the blade over. The screws are a little difficult to get started straight and are difficult to tighten. Make sure you have the correct size screwdriver or you can strip the head of the screw. They only give you one extra screw. Once the fan motor is hung there is another plate to be installed prior to attaching the light fixture. It is simple to install by removing one of the 3 screws in the fan housing and loosening the other 2. There are to slots in the plate then the 3rd screws gets reinstalled in the last hole. It's pretty simple. The light fixture is easy to install in the same manner and there is a plug for the wiring. The glass globe gets installed. This is the piece that has the bubble effect. To me it makes the fixture look a little cheap, but I realize it is for an aged effect. After that the metal cage is installed with a separate metal plate on the bottom to complete the installation. The chain pulls are not the most attractive. The one for the light has a lightbulb embossed on it & the one for the fan has a fan embossed on it. Ceiling fans have been around for a long time so I think everyone is pretty familiar with the one in the center of the fixture is the light pull. I probably won't change those out as it is installed on my porch ceiling. If it was inside my house I would definitely change those. The chains are pretty short which is standard since most homes don't have high ceilings. I need to add extensions since my ceilings are 11 - 12 feet high, even on my porch. I like that the bulbs are LED, especially since they are candle style lights.

The Westinghouse brentford 52” LED aged walnut ceiling fan with light kit looks really amazing. At first glance, when opening the packaging, I could see it has 2 different color of woodgrain on the blades.(refer to pictures) the lighting kit is extraordinary in design and the kit came with 3 brand NEW Westinghouse LED bulbs. There seem to be many pieces to this kit and it came with instructions for perfect assembly!
