Another great design Westinghouse fan . so quiet motor you don't know it running other then the fan blades are turning. great air movement on this 3 speed lighted fan . the unit has to be installed with the light kit there option given . the light globe with the 2 supplied 8 watt Westinghouse t-7 medium base LED 800 lumen bulbs. offer you great room lighting affect .the bulb packaging said's it will cost you less then a $1.00 per year energy cost. there equivalent to a 60 watt light bulb each. the dark brown paint on the fan is perfect and a well match to the glass globe and fan blades that are in a Cherry or lighter Applewood wood grain finish . removal of old fan and installing of this new fan took about 2 hours . what help is the T style motor hanger design . so your not having to fight while doing the electrical . it keeps the fan unit steady till you have it all wired up. no second set of hands needed.

I need to shout from the rooftops how easy this fan is to install! The Carolina Ceiling Fan’s has a hanging t-hook system that allows the motor to be hung securely, and at the perfect angle and distance from the mounting bracket, allowing for easy wiring! This is so much easier than other ceiling fans I’ve installed where the motor needs to be supported somehow at the same time wiring is completed. The Carolina LED 52 in. LED Oil Rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan was the perfect choice to replace one of our old-fashioned ceiling fans. We wanted something with a modern and sleek look but also not industrial looking. It needed to sit close to the ceiling, so our tall friends and family can pass by without ducking or fear of bodily harm. The Carolina ceiling fan fit those criteria perfectly. For installation, fixing the electrical box to a structural beam was the one thing that I didn’t need to do since I was a swapping-out our old fan for the Carolina fan. Simple tools needed were a Philips head screwdriver and a small adjustable wrench. The first step, installing the mounting bracket to the electrical box (power turned off) was easy enough. The next step was to hang the motor to the mounting bracket which allows you to do all the wiring (see t-hook pic) easily. After attaching each of the five blades to the blade brackets, they get attached to the motor. You’ll have to first remove the necessary screws (they stored them on the motor instead of the parts bags) then use them again to attach the blades brackets. TIP: when attaching the blades to the motor, first magnetize the screwdriver since installing the blades onto the motor requires the screws to be screwed in from the bottom. Attaching the rest of the fan parts, the light fixture, the glass bowl and bulbs, the extensions for the pull chains, etc. are very easy. So, is there anything not to like? Not much. Just a suggestion for improving some of the drawings in the manual when they don’t look like the actual part. For example, the drawing of the mounting bracket looks nothing like the actual mounting bracket. Not a big problem but why have the customer wondering what other possible lapses in attention to detail may be lurking ahead? This Westinghouse Carolina ceiling fan is backed by a lifetime warranty on the motor and a 2-year warranty on all other parts. Now that it’s installed, it really has perked-up the area. I couldn’t be more pleased with the simplicity of the instructions, assembly process and installation.
