This ceiling fan and light wall control is designed to be used with incandescent light bulb and not designed to be used with LED light bulbs. We do not recommend using this control with LED light bulbs.

The ceiling fan has its own power source. I ran a wire to a old work box in the wall, separate po...

Your question is not clear enough (to me, at least). How many wires in all (and what colors) run from the ceiling box to the wall box? Do any other wires run to the wall box? Normal installation is power & neutral & ground to the wall box. Switched power and neutral from the wall box to the ceiling fan. (Ground wires too, of course). If the power originates at the ceiling box, you will need to run three wires to the wall box: power, switched, and neutral (plus ground, of course).

My electrician said to order a “three wire” wall switch for ceiling fan with light. We are replac...

Item 7787500 ceiling fan and light wall control is not a 3 wire wall switch it is a 2 wire wall switch. The Westinghouse Lighting 7787300 is a 3 wire installation in a standard junction box.

Wired switch accordingly and fan/lights turn on and off on its own..I double checked the dip switches in the switch and receiver in ceiling fan

It should work with most fans, independent of brand. The primary exception I can dream of would be a fan that included a remote receiver module that cannot be repaced with the one that comes with this switch.

Great replacement for the cheap controls who’s knobs all break off. Only thing stopping a 5 star rating is the receiver is a bit large and won’t fit inside all fan housings

Most houses are not built with the 3-wire electrical wiring required for ceiling fans with lights to completely be controlled at the switch. This device takes care of that with 2-wire installation. Without products like this on the market you would have to buy and install the more expensive fans.

Does NOT work with dimmable LED bulbs.. I contacted Westinghouse and that is what they told me. LED bulbs "strobe" with this controller. I wish the package had indicate such, would have saved me a lot of wasted time. Out here in liberal democrat ruled California, incandescent bulbs are illegal and unavailable.

Works OK. I was hoping to get away with just installing this new wall remote to replace my old hand-held remote. Unfortunately I also had to get up on my ladder and replace the receiver (included) in my Hunter fan. The glow-in-the-dark light button only glows for an hour after darkness.

Works as it should. If you have the same unit in another room be sure to place one unit on a different frequency, otherwise you may end up with one unit turing on both systems.

We’ve installed these in multiple rooms, all have worked well with no issues. I like how the controls are hardwired into the existing electrical wiring, no risk of losing a fan remote. Instructions were straightforward and easy to follow.
