Fan started making noise
Everything seemed fine in first few months of use but it started making noise if you turn up the speed above 3. It’s too hard to get it uninstalled from high ceiling and returned.

Remote not working, zero support from Westinghouse
Purchased this fan, remote was unable to communicate with the fan. Absolutely zero support from Westinghouse. Wanted us to purchase another remote controller for $5, without any guarantees it would work. I tried to take it apart and locate the dip switch, but there doesn't seem to be any, just a receiver.
Stuck it out with the default setting and fan set to low. After a year it decided to change it to the highest fan setting and is now useless as it's blowing everything underneath.

We bought 3 of these for our home in san diego. All 3 going strong. Quiet reliable good airflow and bright warm light. When I bought these they were some of the few DC motor fans on the market. I think I’ve replaced the lightbulb in one of the three fans so far. The six speed setting options as well as reverse direction all work very well.

Unpacking the ceiling fan I noticed the glass globe...
Unpacking the ceiling fan I noticed the glass globe was scratched. After assembly there is a time delay when using the light only. One of the provided bulbs has blown out. Now I have a dead mercury bulb which has to be recycled not discarded. I live in a remote area, this will not be easy.

I won't recommend it at this time. I'm giving it another chance since the first one was defective. Seems the motor was not balanced in the housing. I read that others have not had any issues, that's why I returned the defective one and ordered another. Wish me luck!

Excellent for bedroom
Originally purchased a GE ceiling fan for replacement in my master bedroom. The fan worked well and looks good but the motor had a variable hum to it that would wake me up. I bought the Delancey to replace it and it is dead silent from setting 1-3 and 4-6 you only hear the wind noise (min). Very happy with it.
The build quality seems to be better than the GE as well. The fan has the transceiver integrated within it so the install was easier and cleaner. Nothing new but usually don't see it at this price point.
If there was something i would change it would be to replace the CFL bulbs with LEDs (dimmer capable). The fan comes with 2-13W CFLs that don't put off enough light for me.

Very nice and very quiet
This is a well built fan, it is quiet and on the six speed it is very fast with good flow. The reduction in electricity draw is a very low and for those that run fans 24x7x365 like myself will pay the extra cost long before fan will need replacing. The remote is nice being able to control direction as well. The only thing I would have thought for this price range the fan would have come with a dimmable bulb controlled from the remote.

Great value. Slow modes are dead quiet (no hum!)
Looks great and is the best value I could find in a DC fan. Moves lots of air if you need it to and has 2 slow modes which are dead silent (why I bought it).
