installed this fan to our bedroom and it looks good. We have high ceiling of 9.3 so the drop measurement is not too much but if you have lower ceiling, this fan might not a good choice.
It comes with speed controller but it is bulky and ugly..so we used 'Westinghouse Lighting 7787200 Ceiling Fan Wall Control-4 speed' instead and it works good but the fan speed is reversed. The 4 is the slowest and 1 is the fastest.

Good fan. Great price. Looks Great. Moves the air. Modern Industrial look. Be aware metal blades so should be used only on high ceilings so someone doesn't reach up and get a serious whack. Mount 10' or higher. Couple minor things... included fan control switch is clunky looking and very white. It will not match standard switches especially in multiple gang box. There is very close clearance between fan body and metal housing above it. I had to adjust slightly to keep from rubbing thought it was bad fan at first. Overall very good fan for the price.

Good sturdy design with metal blades. Installed 2 of them in my 2000 sq. ft. shop with 12' ceilings to circulate the air. My only mistake was that I thought that they were reversible, but I didn't check closely enough. If they were reversible, I would give them 5 star review..

This has been a great fan. Yes, the controller is big, but not too bad. It moves air very well....
This has been a great fan. Yes, the controller is big, but not too bad. It moves air very well. We had one for about 7 years, and it went out last month. Westinghouse support sent me another fan once I contacted them described a problem (the fan blew two switches). The newer fan has a smaller control box and does warm up some while in use.

Old style but great value for the price.
Bought these to install in my shop. They are quiet and move plenty of air. The only negative for a home installation is that the controls are old style, e.g. big and boxy and mount on the surface . In my case, didn't matter since they are in a shop.

Nice basic fan
I wanted a basic fan with clean lines and this does the trick. One note - The fan doesn't have any controls on it. You install a control box on the wall. It goes fast enough that it seems like it could be an airplane propeller, but the speed is adjustable.
