A: It comes with about 3’ or so of chain, and you can probably find a similar chain to add or replace, purchased separately. The light also has plenty of wire for the supplied chain, and some to spare. If you have a sturdy enough hanging point, you can loop the chain to anywhere it reaches.

A: The rod and the center part on this chandelier are attached and if this fixture is mounted as a semi-flush chandelier will hang down approximately 20 1/16 inches.

A: According to the specifications listed, the product hight without the swag chain is 16.34" (just shy of 16 3/8"). When I mounted mine I modified the fixture and eliminated the drop rod all together.. I wanted to achieve a minimum drop due to the location being literally overhead. I was able to achieve a minimum drop of 9" from the ceiling to the shades, (not counting the bulbs) by doing this modification.

A: Yes, we did exactly that and it looks great. Keep in mind that you only have 3' of chain, so you can't get crazy with the distance. This is a very nice chandelier at a reasonable price

A: HELLO DAVID, YES THIS CHANDELIER CAN BE SWAGGED. MINE CAME WITH EVERYTHING NEEDED IN THE BOX TO MOUNT AS A SWAG INCLUDING THE MATCHING CHAIN. HOWEVER, I WAS AFTER A FLUSH CEILING MOUNT WITHOUT ANY DROP ROD. WITH MINOR CUSTOM MODIFICATIONS, I WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE THIS TYPE OF MOUNTING. TONY

I purchased this light to use in my kitchen which has a ceiling height of only 7'6". I knew from the physical description that the semi-flush mounting would still have too great of a drop for my high traffic location. It was my intention to modify the vertical assembly by leaving out the 1/2" diameter down tube. It took very little effort to do this modification, and now is perfect for my application. And I have also bought (3) of the matching single light wall mount sconces to complete the lighting project. I chose the white interior shades over the golden for maximum lighting effect. They all look great and complement the country kitchen theme!
