[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this dishwasher myself about 2 weeks ago in the tiny kitchen of our cramped Manhattan apartment. It replaced an old Whirlpool in the same cabinet area, but this new machine has so much more space inside. How did they do it? -- The pump motor is smaller and flatter. I was amazed at how clean and dry the dishes came out the first time I used it. Even plastic containers that never got dry in the old machine were perfectly dry and clean. I love the top rack for flat cutlery and chopsticks. It's easy to arrange items so you can pick them up and move them to your cutlery drawer. The wire baskets are made so that cups stay tilted while they are washed, so dirty detergent water doesn't collect in the hollow bottoms some cups have. Now I can wash the greasy soup kettle that was too large for the old machine, and it comes out squeaky clean. And 50 decibels is pretty quiet. We don't have to turn up the sound on the TV anymore. The one negative is the long cycle time -- 3 hours or so, depending on user choices. But it still uses fewer watt-hours and it's so quiet, who cares? We run it at night.

Purchased this to replace a 14 year old machine, have used for three weeks. Operation is very quiet, can’t tell it’s running unless you’re within a few feet. The biggest thing I noticed was that the cycle time on sensor wash is 3.5 hours including heat dry, at least an hour more than our old unit. I’ve read that the new high efficiency machines have longer cycle times. We’ve worked around this by using the “one hour” clean cycle, add heat dry and it’s 1.5 hours total. So far, all dishes have been perfectly clean, will continue to go this route. The racks seems to be lighter and smaller than our old machine, therefore capacity is less. The tines also do not fold, making a challenge of bowls and larger items. The silverware basket also seems flimsy, and the slots for knives are too small for ours. If you have a large family and many dishes, you may want to look for something bigger. The third rack at the top is a nice feature for serving spoons and other flat items. It can be easily removed by opening two clips on the track, to add height for tall items on the second rack. The controls are on the front, a digital display shows cycle time remaining. The labels and buttons can be difficult to see however; controls on top of the door could be easier to see. It’s a matter of preference. Removal of our old machine and installation by the Home Depot vendor was flawless, attention to detail and was complete in less than 45 minutes. The installer was even able to credit me for an extension kit that was included on the order but not needed, saving me a trip to the store.

Doesnt really get the dishes dry even on the hottest setting. Have tried everything. Drips when we go to put away the dishes even the forks and knifes. Have had some pieces of food on other dishes not stuck on just laying on them. Have used name brand dish washing cleaner. Overall does clean the dishes good! Just wish it got the dishes dry.

So far this product has exceeded our expectations!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with this dishwasher. The stainless steel tub and third rack were the main features I wanted and I am not disappointed! The 1 hour wash is a great feature and does an excellent job! We are so happy with our new Whirlpool dishwasher!

I upgraded from a 10 year old unit to this unit and was wowed by the new technology. Is the thing cleaning the dishes? Yes it was. The sanitize function makes me feel safe because of the current situation of the world. Totally impressed with this machine. Would buy again and recommend
