This range is more than what I expected. The oven is large and the option of to use different size pots and pans on the front outlets is nice. It does take time to learn what power to cook your food since this a more advance range than my replaced range.

(What's this)
Nice and very stylish stainless steel range. The one negative of note is that while the steel is fingerprint resistant the cooktop is not, it show fingerprints spills and the like. Other than that the range looks nice the controls can take a little getting used to, but are not overwhelming hard. The dual and triple zone heating elements have taken a little getting used to, but a nice feature to have. The same can be said for the warming element, but may get a little crowded if you are using it and the other elements all at once The oven is spacious with three racks and plenty of room. The broiler box on the bottom is smaller than I'm used to, but in most cases it's used for storage anyway. The delivery was smooth and painless, taking less than an hour to from the time they got here until the time they left, they did a good job of limiting any damage to the stove or my house while installing. The range also comes with an attachment that mounts to one of the back legs to keep it from being tipped over. I did notice that the timer is maybe not as loud as it could be, but that may just be a personal preference. The door opens smoothly with no pre-notched stop spots in it, so it will stay were you leave it open at and not try and snap back to a spot. Overall a good stove that looks really nice and functions just as well.

(What's this)
Whirlpool has a winner this time. Range-top cooking is a breeze with enough right-size burners for every job. Self-adjusting heating elements heat up quickly, then maintain existing temperature until adjusted by the cook. The three-in-one burner provides for small, medium or large cooking utensils and the warming burner is an added convenience. The large oven with choice of conventional or convection cooking is remarkable. Instructions for the oven are displayed electronically in words crawling across the panel, making guesswork a thing of the past. All this and more. Worthy of mention is the sticker on the oven door: "Designed, engineered and assembled in the USA."

(What's this)
Wonderful Range with Internet Connection that needs upgrades. The range looks very nice – sturdy like you see on professional range models. The stainless steel is very much print resistant. The range fits snugly against the wall. The knobs are dishwasher safe and larger than most. The touchscreen is easy to work once I figured out the symbols. When programming the oven, it says press Start – there is no "Start" control but rather an arrow pointing right. Stop is an X. The oven light symbol is a light bulb. I am a quick learner so I have those down pat. The oven preheats much faster than my old range – less than 15 minutes for 350 degrees without using Rapid Preheat. With Rapid Preheat on the oven was at 350 in 8 minutes. The Keep Warm setting kept the meal warm for a late guest the other evening without overcooking the meal. The oven has a Sabbath setting and a Proofing setting for raising bread dough which I no longer do but can see its benefit from my bread making days. There is a delay start function. The oven is huge and has three racks and 7 positions so there will be plenty of room for the Thanksgiving meal. I have not soiled the oven yet but look forward to using the AquaLift Self-Cleaning Technology. It promises to clean the oven in less than an hour which is 1/3 the time of the old method. The huge oven is very appreciated however it results in a rather small storage drawer. The drawer holds my broiler pan (not provided) and 3 cookie sheets. I vote for the huge oven over a larger drawer. The range top is easy to use. I love the large burner with 3 zone settings. I often saute using a 12-inch pan but appreciate being able to use my 8 or 10-inch cook wear on that burner. There is a second 2 zone element for my 8 and 6-inch cook wear. There is a Melt Element which is perfect when preparing a baking recipe plus one other smaller element. I had a dinner party the other night and found the Warm Zone on the range top was a convenient way to keep veggies warm for the late guest. The range knobs are easy to understand. The top at this point is shiny and I am being extra careful not to scratch the surface moving the skillet around as I did with my old range top. My food cooks evenly on all burners. There is a function to lock the oven controls to prevent a child or elderly person with memory issues from operating the oven. There is not such a function for the stove top which is perplexing to me since the stove-top is more likely the place when a person would turn on a burner inappropriately. Maybe technology will come up with that solutions at some point. The range is near perfect for cooking and baking and looks great. Now for the area that needs improving – Connected Feature. Detailed instructions for the app were nowhere to be found – not on paper or online. Pairing the range and connection app took about 30 minutes. I needed to access the connection via the web and not the modem WPS since my modem did not have allow the quicker method. Once done the app was working fine. I enable the remote access and was happy to be able to turn the oven on with the app. I pictured myself off shopping and running late and being able to start the oven remotely. I could turn the oven light on and off – okay why do I need to do that? If I am not home I do not need the light; if home I can push the button on the control panel. I figured out I could turn the oven off with the app by modifying the cooking to 1 minute. I could use the app to again lock the oven controls. The problem is the Remote Enable function is only set to function for 24- hours maximum and if anyone opens the oven door or touches the oven controls on the oven the Remote Enable is canceled. Hum – I see a problem with coming home to an uncooked meal if I do not follow the steps correctly or my husband opens the door to check on the food. And it there is a totally unexpected delay I am out of luck to start the oven since I probably did not set the Enable Remote before I left. I had questions about the connection app so I used the chat function on the Whirlpool website and after a 10 minute wait I was told that they were unable to answer Whirlpool Connected Appliance questions. I was given a special phone number for the Whirlpool Connected Appliances and when dialed the phone was answered after only 1 ring. The agent was very pleasant and provided me with the item answers above, I found out I could have used that number to help set up my connection to the WIFI. That number is found on the bottom of the Whirlpool Connect app but I had missed it. I can use the app to order service, buy an extended warranty and cleaning products. My model and serial number is on the app since I registered my product. I can see upgrades coming to the app with time as technology is rapidly advancing. The labels for the model and serial numbers are not on the side of the door as the manual says but on the side of the drawer compartment and a little hard to reach. There is a label there to help you connect to the app but I could not get the app to scan that label and had to type in the long numbers unique to my range. Inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I recommend the range since it appears to be high quality, has a huge oven and multiple sized elements and it looks great. I am holding out that upgrades to the app will occur with time. I will be sure to properly enable the remote connection of the oven before leaving if I am unsure of when I will return so my meal with be cooked on arrival.

Questionable mfg, but nice features
Customer review from whirlpool.com logo
We had this for aboit 3 weeks. Whirlpool is exchanging it for a new one because the bottom drawer is not closing properly. I removed it to troubleshoot and the thin sheet metal drawer was formed poorly so it cannot close. The seal around the glass top is gobbed up in some spots and thin in others. Hopefully the replacement doesn’t have these issues. We love all of the features multiple burner sizes and baking/roasting options but don’t expect it to last more than 5-7 years. It might ugly out before then. The glass top is more already looking used. I expect it will look like our 15 yr old GE in under 1 yr. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Addition To Our Kitchen
Customer review from whirlpool.com logo
We initially bought the range with the control knobs on the front, but we decided it would not look right with the backsplash. We changed and we are so very happy with this choice. We don't have litte ones, but if we did they would not be able to reach the knobs. There are a lot of great features on this range and we are slowly going thru them. I love the convection oven there is a difference between the normal baking feature and the convection. I haven't been able to connect it to my WIFI yet, but thats ok because I don't plan on using it but its there if I want to use it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Convection Range Review
Customer review from whirlpool.com logo
We have had our new range for about a month now. Happy w/most features however, did did not realize when purchased that it had no back light (behind burners). Our other WPool range did. Not being familiar with burner dials, very difficult to see the markings. We have WP Microwave above with small light but not efficient. Would not have purchased this stove if we were aware of poor lighting. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
