love this Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My washer is still working. My handicap son disabled from brain injury, required daily washing/drying for 15 years. He passed in November 2019 and only our dryer stopped working and decided to only replace the dryer. It works great and dries quickly. Super quite and very pleased with it's performance. With my son, over the years, we have replaced washer and dryer appliances due to the every day use. Very satisficed with this dryer and hopeful if a washer is in needed soon, whirlpool will have a washer equal the value of this dryer we just purchaseed.
A Perfect Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is fantastic. It has great capacity, is easy to use, dries everything consistently, and is quiet when running.

Great Features Easy to Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! One of our best purchases. The dryer offers an easy to use display panel in which you can customize your settings to your needs. Not only is it energy efficient but we love the damp dry option but our favorite is the steam setting we use to freshen up our cloths.
The best is even better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our ten year old Whirlpool dryer with this beauty and couldn't be happier! Our old Whirlpool was still running and we blessed someone else with it and love the new one. A larger load, quieter operation and steam dry are the features we love...and of course the friendly "chimes" that make you happy to use it.

We love it! Looks great. Easy to install and use. Lots of features. Moisture sensor ensures clothes are not over-dried. Huge capacity.
This Whirlpool dryer in Chrome Shadow (a dark grey metallic color) is beautiful in appearance and dries clothes extremely well. This dryer is physically larger (and heavier) than the 8 year old other brand dryer it replaced. It was a challenge, but the delivery company was able to move the new Whirlpool dryer and matching front load washing machine into my space without damage to walls, but if the machines were any larger, I’d have to wash and dry my clothes in the driveway because they would not be fitting through the doorways of my home. Since this dryer unit was replacing another, installation was easy; simply connect the gas line and dryer vent. There is a 3/8-inch gas connector in the lower left corner in the back of the dryer. Fittings for the gas line are not included, so I borrowed the fittings from my old machine and installed them using a good quality Teflon tape and thread sealant rated for natural gas. The dryer provides the user with a number of options and features for drying clothes including a steam feature that helps to reduce wrinkles and a sanitize setting, but I opted not to install the included Y-connector and water hose at this time because it would require splitting the water supply line to the washing machine. The machine works perfectly fine without the water line installed, but in order to take full advantage of the features of this dryer, I plan to install the parts necessary for steam and sanitize in the future. The interior of the dryer is beautifully finished in stainless steel and is illuminated with LED lighting which is controlled by a door switch, as well as a dedicated on/off button on the control panel. From the factory, the door swings left to right. Using a T25 Torx, I removed the 6 set screws on each of the hinge and latch side of the door, and swapped the hinge position so the door would swing right to left, to make it easier to transfer clothes from the washing machine to the dryer. There are a lot of buttons on the control panel, which initially was intimidating to me, but I find that I don’t change settings all that much, if at all; more often than not opting to use one of the presets for normal, casual or delicates. You also can select timed dry or quick dry and enter your own dry time, as well as to select the type of load; bulky, heavy-duty, towels or sanitize. I use the casual preset for 37 minutes of dry time, which is sufficient for my typical sized load of laundry. While emptying the dryer, I have a tenancy to bump into the large knob on the front of the dryer which powers the machine on. My old machine had the controls on top, so this will take some getting used to. This machine sits lower to the floor than my old machine, and requires more stooping over to load and unload, so I plan to eventually purchase the optional pedestal for each of the washer and dryer to increase the height of the machines by 15-inches, and provide storage for detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, etc. The pedestals are costly, but aside form saving my back, they add to the appearance of the washer and dryer. One thing to note is that the machine produces a faint burnt rubbery smell which I attribute to the machine being new. While the odor is not what I’d consider pleasant, it’s not terrible either, and does not permeate the clothes. Hopefully the smell will dissipate and eventually disappear as the machine sees more use. We have dryed several loads of laundry since installing this machine a week ago and it's a big improvement over our old machine in terms of dry time, but also noise level; this machine runs very quietly. Whike the dryer does not come with a dryer rack for delicates, upon request, you can receive one from Whirlpool for free. While I wish the dryer rack was included and the machine and had a smaller footprint, I really like the appearance of this machine, its ease of use, performance, and ability to adjust the dry time to avoid over-drying. The interior LED lighting is bright, and the indicator lights on the control panel and signal chimes are pretty neat to see and hear. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this dryer and the matching washing machine and highly recommend it and the matching front-load washer.

Jumpin' Jack its a gas, gas dryer! And a nice one too.
I am converting to this machine from an older Whirlpool dryer which saw MANY years of faithful service during which we tossed in the washed load and sort of stood there and watched to be sure the individual items were pulled out at times appropriate to save them from destruction. This one has so many automatic features I’m inclined to believe it could also do the babysitting and walk the dog. Seriously though, you still have to separate the load into appropriate bunches like delicates and denims but features like damp dry, - dryness level,- wrinkle shield, - static reduction, - steam (which adds steam to the end of the heavy duty cycle to reduce odors and smooth the wrinkles out of towels and similar items – no dryer sheet added), - signal tones for cycles (which may be turned on or off), and - control lock (which disallows little toddler fingers from changing your settings – we found very quickly that we needed this) all make the end result a clean and dry load with very little to do in terms of ironing. Another feature which is compelling is the EcoBoost option which extends the drying time approximately 40 minutes but results in a considerable savings in energy. With normal settings things dry much more quickly. This machine also has a drum light which you can turn on at any time or comes on automatically when the door is opened. This helps keep track of everything tumbling and also helps that always lost one sock I constantly miss. One of my favorite features on this machine is the ease with which the lint filter is accessed and cleaned. I always make it a point to keep track of cleaning the lint filter after each load and constantly monitor the lint exhaust to be sure it is clear. This is the main cause of fires started by dryers. Fortunately, there is also a built in lint filter-check/vent monitor on this model which will alert if lint becomes an issue or airflow is blocked for some reason. What a relief. Finally, included with this model is a rack which, when inserted into the middle of the dryer drum, holds items you don’t want to tumble dry like sweaters or tennis shoes – no more “charge of the light brigade” when you dry those old sneakers. All in all this dryer is an excellent choice for a dependable and comfortable wash day experience. The only thing I would advise concerning this model is the addition of a pedestal underneath to raise the dryer to a comfortable use height. Ours were installed at floor level and it is my intent to add these pedestals to the washer and dryer at my earliest opportunity. (Coincidentally, this will keep little fingers from messing with the settings). Happy drying.

A REAL Work Saver
This beautiful new Whirlpool® 7.4 cu. ft. Gas Dryer is a real work saver. The large 7.4 cu. Ft. capacity allows us to dry larger loads faster than we ever have. We dried king size heavy bedspreads and large loads of towels we would have never attempted in our old unit. The advanced moisture setting makes my jeans come out perfect. They are drying almost twice as fast as before and they are not over dried making them easy to “hand press” allowing them to be worn right off the hanger with no ironing. The Wrinkle Shield Plus Option with steam works great on our “No Iron” work clothes reducing the touch up ironing. I have been using the Steam refresh cycle to freshen up my micro-fiber work out shirts and pants that have only been worn for a quick walk. It eliminates the need for over washing them. You see the Whirlpool quality in the stainless steel drum, the sturdy metal construction, the touch control panel as well as the over-all fit and finish. It’s a very attractive machine that has an Ecoboost option that provides additional savings. An added plus is the door is reversible on this dryer. In summary the reasons we recommend this dryer; our clothes are being dried faster, they are coming out of the dryer with less wrinkles, they require less ironing touch up and we have reduced the use of dryer sheets by using the Static Reduce Option. It comes with a limited one year warranty. I have provided some photos and a short demo video, I hope they help.

Great Brand Choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently replaced 16 year old washer and dryer and are quite pleased with the advancements our new washer and dyer are very user friendly. easy to operate, are quiet and are performing very well .

We've had this for four years - the first three years were great, but it's already falling apart. Multiple mechanic visits. Our previous washer lasted ten+ years without issue, and this one is struggling to get to five years.
