Most of the water is splashed onto the condenser, where it evaporates and improves the efficiency of the unit. A small disadvantage of this system is that you can sometimes hear the clicks as the fan picks up the water and throws it around inside the case. Under very humid conditions some water may drip from the back of the unit. This is only a 6000 BTU unit, so it could only cool a small garage.
Yes
Hi Michael....it does use a regular wall plug, but it needs to be a 3 prong wall plug. It has surge protector on the end that will protect it From power surges. You will have to push it in to get the air conditioner to come on. I also read in the instruction manual to wait 3 seconds before you turn the air conditioner back on after turning it off. Something about extending the life of the unit.
Yes
The unit comes with the typical accordion side panels to fill in the window opening, plus it comes with cuttable Styrofoam panels to add insulation in that area.
According to the barcode label on the carton: "Made in China"

Hi...Denni.....You just open the the front panel of the air conditioner and the filter sits vertically inside. It is VERY EASY to get to. That was one thing I was worried about too. It seems a bit fragile, but I would bet if You use a soft toothbrush, and warm water-- it would clean it right off!!!!
Yes. Why would that be a concern?
No; this is just a room AC.
