Front Control Built-In Tall Tub Dishwasher in Biscuit with Stainless Steel Tub and 1-Hour Wash Cycle, 50 dBA is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 1120.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dishwasher I really like this dishwasher. The biggest tip I can give is that you need to have everything set to install this unit before the installer arrives, or the installer will not put the unit in. There are three things not included with the dishwasher you will need in order to install the unit. This unit is quiet. I wasn't even sure it was running at first. It is super nice to not have to raise your voice to talk over the noise of the washer. The dishwasher has easy to use controls on the top of the unit. It also has a display that shows how much time is remaining before the dishes are clean. That is super handy. You can select from five different wash cycles and three different dry cycles. There is also a "sanitizing" rinse cycle of you like to get your dishes really hot, although that temperature does not meet restaurant levels of sanitation. I put extra dirty dishes in the washer just to see how well it would do, and everything came out clean. This is so much nicer than my old unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Dishwasher Wanted to wait until I got my first electric bill after using this dishwasher every day or every other day before I reviewed since the cycles last 2 1/2 hours. It does have a one hour cycle which I use for freshly soiled loads but the sensor cycle and normal cycle are predominately what I use. i do not use the drying feature because i open the door and let it air dry. My electric bill seemed to not even reflect the use of a dishwasher and i was pleasantly surprised. My dishes come out clean with no residue. The dirtier they are going in, the cleaner they are coming out. I do scrape off food particles because I did not buy one with the food disposal. If i prerinse the dishes, the sensor deems the load not dirty enough to warrant full on washing action, therefore, dishes don't get as clean. It is very quiet, easy to load and the silverware basket is huge. Whirlpool, made in america with american made replacement parts that will be easy to access. Foriegn made appliances have hard to get parts for repairs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nothing great... We've had this about 6 months and have had to call for repair due to incomplete draining. Prior to the service call, this dishwasher was super quiet, but after is noticeably louder. The quiet feature was a huge deciding factor when we purchased it & now we're disappointed with it. As far as cleaning goes, it's ok. Sometimes it cleans well, sometimes it doesn't. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I wouldn't say that it got heavy use as we are a family of 3. I would think a larger family would need to run their dishwasher multiple times a day. It was good while it lasted but it began making a funny clicking noise and didn't get the dishes clean. I scheduled maintenance through the whirlpool website and a technician showed up to say the whole pump and motor housing needed to be replaced. $275 in parts; $125 in labor; $125 for the initial diagnosis. He also said dishwashers these days are only made to last around 5 years. Seems a little ridiculous considering the last one was at least 20 years old and still worked well. I obviously didn't pay for the repair as it was nearly the cost of the dishwasher but still had to pay $125 for the guy to come out for 5 minutes. After research, I am going to buy the part myself for $135 and put it in. I would prefer a different brand but just cant stomach the cost when this one still feels relatively new.... I would try a different brand but that is also hard to do as Whirlpool owns most other dishwasher brands besides the European ones. Maybe I just got a bad apple.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features sleek design I bought this a couple of weeks ago. I love the look and the features. My only complaint is the capacity and lack of adjustable racks. My old Kenmore dishwasher which I had for 18 years held more dishes and had adjustable racks. The whirlpool WDF540PADM out of stock at the time represented better value with its larger capacity, similar features and plastic interior. Whirlpool should have made the interior racks the same for this machine. Good thing my lower rack from my old machine fits the new machine. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and will be replacing my white Kenmore products with stainless steel whirlpool appliances as I continue to update my kitchen. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not dry and poor rack configuration design I am not the one who made the decision to purchase this model and never would have settled on this one had I been doing the shopping. You need to read reviews BEFORE doling out the cash AND BRING A BOX OF YOUR OWN DISHES to make sure they’ll fit. The dishes come out clean so I give it 2 stars, but there isn’t much else I can say about this dishwasher that is positive. First, without a bar handle across the front, there isn’t a place near my sink to hang a dish towel to dry, but that may not be an issue in someone else’s kitchen. The top rack configuration is dismally tight. Though my glassware isn’t oversized, nearly all of my glasses and cups will not fit in the channels designed for this purpose because the tines in each have been placed too close together. I think it wasn’t a problem for my previous dishwashers because the center tine configuration was more narrow which allows wider channels for glassware. Now, glasses have to sit partially in an adjoining channel and that leaves much less space for other drinkware. I have to run my dishwasher more frequently because the top rack fills up so quickly now, so I’m running a dishwasher that doesn’t have a full top rack. How is that saving me water and energy? Also, in every dishwasher I’ve owned, the last tines at the end of each top row leave enough space to conveniently place lids to plastic storage containers. The tines for this one are placed so close to the outer edge of the rack that even the thinnest lid cannot fit, which means you’ll have to prop the lids up between wider tines and that just takes up even more room that could be used for glassware. The bottom rack isn’t much better because the design doesn’t leave any space to stand anything up if you want to wash something wider than a plate, like a casserole dish. Modern dishwashers are usually very quiet, but this one is not. You hear the water sloshing about at pretty much the same noise level you get when filling a plastic milk jug from the tap. The length of wash times seems unusually long, well over 3 hours for most cycles. If you try to choose the shortest wash cycle possible (2:15) because you’ll need clean dishes soon, you cannot select the heated wash, heated dry or sani-rinse functions. There IS a one hour wash selection, but it will not give you the option to dry the dishes, so plan on hand drying the entire load. However... The overall drying function is very poor. We have to wipe down the dishes after every wash regardless of setting or the addition of a rinse aid. The concave bottoms of every single glass, no matter how shallow, are always full of water. If this occurs even on heated dry, it brings into serious question whether or not the heating elements are actually heating when the heated wash and sani-rinse functions are selected. I have read some reviews where people complain about odors. This can happen even in the high end dishwashers and its because the filter is designed to trap food particles and then be removed and rinsed in your sink. If you don’t want to rinse your filter, buy a dishwasher with a different design. I can not recommend this dishwasher. I’ve lived in too many places to remember off the top of my head and this dishwasher is my least favorite. That says a lot right there when you take into consideration that I’m including cheap dishwashers that were installed in my first apartments over 30 years ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a piece of crap I brought this dishwasher on black friday 2017 and it as out of stock so they delivered it a week later 12/2. Due to the holidays, my husband didn't install it until 12/15 and right out the box it didn't work. I even thought my husband didn't install it correctly but of course he did. I called the company and they came out about week later 12/20 and said it was the circuit board and this sometimes happens. Wth... they stated they would have to order the part and it would take 2 more weeks, well after New Years and almost 6 weeks after I brought it ( I had already had my husband hook up my old one which had been on its last leg but over 13 years old). No sir, I called home depot and asked for a manager not a supervisor and explained that I was returning this piece of junk and wanted my money back. They told me to bring it back and refunded all my money almost 7 weeks after i brought it. So thank you home depot but now my old dishwasher really is dying and I have no idea which one to buy but i will buy it from home depot.
