Lifetime warranty... buyer be ware
I bought this mailbox based on its quality, looks and its lifetime warranty. It was premium priced ($399). It held up for approx 7 years, until one of the two hinges separated from the aluminum body. I contacted the manufacturer, Whitehall Products, and they were unwilling to honor the warranty. They indicated that the mailbox must have been struck and therefore would not be covered, which was not the case… so they are basically calling me a liar which I find incredibly insulting or they just don’t want to honor their warranty… so buyer be ware!

Nice kit that turned out well
Really nice kit and ended up really nice. I like that it is big enough for small packages and the suggested height allows my 8 yr old to easily reach. The directions were clear and the mailbox is solid. The custom letters took about 3 weeks to arrive after ordering but the kit itself came much faster than advertised.

We followed your instructions on the website to order the...
We followed your instructions on the website to order the address plates for the mailbox and when they did not arrive, contacted Whitehall.They said even though we submitted the order form on your website we had to submit the form included with the delivered mailbox. Once the address plates arrived we found out they are attached to the box with adhesive tabs instead of screws! This is not an inexpensive mailbox and they should have included screws especially since there are holes on the mailbox and the back of the address plates to accommodate this method of attaching.
