DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM
Literally spent $360 after tax on this unit that has never worked for day one. The customer lack of service at Whynter has worn me out with things that include sending me diagrams on how to take the machine apart and looking for loose connections. The temperature will not go below room temperature and they aren’t going to do a thing to help. HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Warning don’t buy

Great workhorse ice cream machine
We just bought this to help pass the quarantine time. So far we’ve made 3 batches. I have a house full of kids, and each batch has made enough to give this family of 8 a few scoops. So far our favorite is orange, and pineapple juice and sugar. It’s so easy, I just dumped it all in! So glad we bought this! I just wish that buying an extra bowl was a little easier to find.

No ice, No salt, Yeah!
Nice looking appliance. I leave it on the counter top so we can use it several times a week. Very easy clean up. We use our own whole goats' milk & love the consistency of the finished ice cream. The colder the ingredients, the firmer the ice cream. We put it in the freezer to firm up more. This is the way to go if you make ice cream often! I only wish it was larger capacity. Do appreciate that you can make another batch right away.

Didn't Last Long
Out of the box, the machine worked fairly well. Never having owned this type of ice cream maker before, I didn't know what to expect. Several months in and about a dozen batches made, things started going down hill. Ice cream would freeze on the bottom and sides of the bowl. The beater would stop and the mixture in the middle was still soupy. After a few more uses, the motor would run about ten minutes and give up. Poor motor quality. Would not buy again.

Out of the box, the machine worked fairly well. Never having owned this type of ice cream maker before, I didn't know what to expect. Several months in and about a dozen batches made, things started going down hill. Ice cream would freeze on the bottom and sides of the bowl. The beater would stop and the mixture in the middle was still soupy. I wrote it off as perhaps I did something wrong. Unfortunately, this trend continued until the motor would run for about ten minutes and as the ice cream mixture just started to thicken, the beater would stop. There was no hardening of the mixture on the sides or bottom. The motor just doesn't have enough power. Now it's a 20# boat anchor.

Love this ice cream maker. I researched several before...
Love this ice cream maker. I researched several before buying this. This model came out on top in several comparisons. Have only made custard so far (crème anglaise), and it is rich and smooth. Simple ingredients- organic cream, half/half, milk, honey, egg yolks,vanilla (and cocoa for chocolate). Best ice cream I have ever had. Wish I wouldn’t have waited so long! It’s a little noisy, but not bad.
