Will this unit work on inverted power? ie 12 volt DC inverted to 120 v AC?

How long will this unit hold a freezing temperature when removed from the power source?

how does unit connect to 12V battery....cannot afford to deplete my cars' battery.
Asked by dragonfly July 5, 2015According to the decal on the back of my FM-65 unit, it says it consumes 4.5amps on 12V. I installed 2 deep cycle batteries in the toolbox of my F-350 truck to run the fridge on extended stays. The batteries charge off the factory charging wire for that runs to the 7-way trailer plug on the back bumper. The batteries disconnect from the truck automatically when the ignition is turned off. The new fridge model has 3 low-voltage settings where it won't let the fridge run if your battery (or batteries) get below either of the 3 low voltage settings you select.
Is the cold conducted into the interior compartment from the back, bottom, all sides?

I would like to run this as a mobile freezer using a battery. What size battery and wattage inverter would it require?
Asked by Mj June 4, 2017This unit runs off 120v (home) or 12/24v (car/truck) using either of the 2 extension cords provided. No need for an inverter in a vehicle installation as this unit runs off 12v @ 4.5amps or 24v @2.5amps according to the sticker on the back on the FM-65 unit. I installed 2 deep cycle batteries in the toolbox of the truck to run the fridge on extended stays. When you are at home or have access to 120v supply, just use the included 120v extension cord and plug the unit directly to home power.
What are the interior dimensions? Capacity is nice but need to know L x W x H, please
Asked by Curious May 20, 2017While I haven't measure the interior of the unit, the cabinet and insulation make the inside about 2 inches smaller than the outside dimensions. Please note that the compressor and electronics do take up some interior space on the right-hand side of the unit. It is still pretty large inside for your food/drinks.
