Great unit - easy to install
Good looking unit arrived in only 3 days, very well packaged with no damage. Instructions are adequate, with one weak point, i.e. the text doesn't reference the letter markers on some illustrations which means you have to puzzle out what item the text is referencing. After cutting through nine inches of brick wall, one difficulty found was making the vent tubes slip together until it was discovered that the external vent can be disassembled easily with four small nuts. This makes the nesting of the vent tubes more straightforward and then easily reassembled. Agree with other reviewers that thermostat wire is too short. Pilot was a little difficult to light until realized line should be purged. Furnace lit right up and started putting out a wonderful amount of heat, making the 900 sf basement garage/workshop usable in the winter. A real plus during power outages is unit uses no a/c. And enclosed combustion chamber means safe to use in workshop.

Great Heater
This was easy to install. A bit time consuming if you you're paying attention to detail, but I was able to install in an afternoon, assuming the gas line has already been run. The instructions are few, but there doesn't need to be many. A full size "cut hole here" template is included. It attaches directly to the studs with 4 screws. The included screws are flat blade, oval head, wood screws - should be drilled first. I used my own screws. I'm heating 1000 s.f. with lots of windows. Temps have been 0 degF at night, highs of about 10 degF, and it keeps it 70 degF in most of the house. Only exception is the opposite end of the house, with an un-insulated room. At these temperatures, it does run quite a bit. It's not the most efficient thing, but considering the low purchase price and installing it myself, it really doesn't matter. With the cold weather we've been having, it looks like it's going to cost about $75 per month in gas. Beats hauling in wood every weekend - or cutting wood to begin with, for that matter.

This heater is very well built and a great buy
I bought this to put in a rental house that we remodeled. Home Depot delivered it directly to my location. It came with a full size cutting pattern to cut through the wall. We installed it in two hours and it works great in the one bedroom cabin we put it in. I am very happy with this heater. I looked at others and this one had the best price and value.

Good heater
HD has the best price for this heater. I could not pick one up at any nearby store, though, and shipping did take a couple of weeks. After reading all the reviews, I was worried about shipping damage, but everything arrived in perfect shape. The box is quite large. You'll need a helper or a hand truck to move it around. I did learn that it unpacks easier if you don't open the box upside down, though! The instructions have you make a 9.5" hole in the wall. I did frame a one foot square opening in the inside wall, then cut the 9.5" round hole into the drywall I re-installed over that framed opening. This gives some backing for when you fasten down the "spacer plate". Other than that, I followed the instructions closely, converting the heater to propane with the (separate) conversion kit. I learned that you have to hold the gas valve control down in the pilot position for a *long* time. Once the system is purged of air, everything works great. The heater is quiet with the exception of the occasional sheet-metal "bwong, pop" noise when things expand. It is doing a great job in my 400sf insulated garage inear Everett, WA. Outdoor temp, 34 degrees. Inside, toasty warm 70 degrees. I do notice a fair amount of heat leaving via the vent cap. But I am OK with it.

    Great price and great company
We bought this wall furnace to heat our 900 sq ft cabin. We have R21 in the walls and R30 in the ceiling, no insulation in the floor currently. We installed it last week, and our low last night was 11 degrees Fahrenheit. We set the temperature to 55 and the furnace had no problem keeping it there all night. When we tried to raise it to 70 though, it only could maintain about 65. When we insulate the floor and fix leaky windows and door, we figure it should maintain through our worst days and keep us comfortable. We had wire that we could use in place of the 16 feet of wire they give for the thermostat, this allowed us to place it further away and more appropriate to our design. We had strong winds up to 50 mph 2 days ago and the pilot light had no problem staying lit, and the unit functioned beautifully. The cabin is in an off-grid location so having a unit that didn't require electricity was a must. We are very pleased with that, and the silent operation and direct venting setup. The unit installed in the wall nicely, we did a little extra sealing around some of the openings, but the instructions and design are well thought through. Following the instructions is essential, however it would be nice if some of the graphics in the documentation were a little clearer - they are a bit blurry. We bought this unit but had to convert it to propane. Not only this but our elevation is above 7,000 feet, so we contacted Williams and asked them what to do. They told us the orifice to order and where to get it from, which we did with great success. When we received the shipment of the furnace, the original cover was damaged with what looks like a paint application error during manufacturing. It has a nice baked-on enamel paint, and just covering the areas with a spray paint or such would not last nearly as well. We contacted Williams and they promptly sent out a replacement, no questions asked, and we received it in 3 days! However, it was sent Fed Ex, and arrived damaged and with bends in the frame. We contacted Williams again and they sent yet another cover, Fed Ex, and it also arrived damaged. They are sending another one and we have faith that it will be resolved quickly - all of our communications with their customer support have been very positive and treated extremely well and professionally. Overall we are very satisfied with the product and it's performance, and Williams as a company. We are anxious to see what amount of propane we end up using. Home Depot's order process was excellent, with customer service helping with the order as we were trying to find the propane model but had no success. They were very friendly and helped compensate for the needs we had. We feel they went "above and beyond" to make sure our concerns were addressed and that we felt we got the value we were looking for.
