The WindyNation 100-Watt Complete Solar Charging Kit comes with everything you need to start producing free, clean power from the sun. Perfect for RV's, boats, cabins and back-up power. WindyNation's 100-Watt Solar Kit includes EVERYTHING you need to get started: one 100-Watt Solar Panel, User Adjustable LCD 20 Amp Solar Charge Controller, 40 ft. of UL Listed 12 AWG Solar Cable, all necessary PV Connectors for wiring (1-Pair PV Connectors) and all the necessary mounting hardware (4 Solar Panel Mounting Brackets and Fastener Sets). Product photos above show individual pictures of all the included items and additional technical information. Add a 12-Volt battery and a DC-to-AC inverter and you are ready to harness the sun's free energy. This Kit includes our premium grade PWM solar charge controller with digital display. The digital display provides detailed system information. - Creates 100-Watt of clean, renewable energy to power your 12-Volt battery or in series for 24-Volt battery charging
- Kit will provide on average 300-Watt hours (Wh) or 25 Amp hours of charge per day (depends on sunlight availability), add more solar panels in the future, the included charge controller can handle up to 3-pieces 100-Watt solar panels (12-Volt system) and 6-pieces 100-Watt solar panels (24-Volt system)
- PWM charge controller has user adjustable settings, LCD screen shows, voltage, solar panel status, battery state of charge and DC load draw, see image in photo gallery for all LCD screen readouts, compatible with lead acid, AGM, gel and lithium batteries

AnswerYou can use a regular car battery, but it is not the ideal battery for this type of application. We recommend that you use a deep cycle battery.

Works well. Supplies more power than I need for RV offgrid when the sun is shining. It might be over charging the batteries slightly despite the setting on the charge controller. The charge controller has a nice feature of being able to attach a load alongside the batteries. Overall quite satisfied with the quality and performance of the product. I would purchase again as the quality of the solar panel is really good and it came in a convenient package.

Description far from accurate.
I received this kit about a week ago. The product description says, "complete solar charging kit comes with everything you need to start producing free, clean power from the sun." That is hardly the case!! There's an instruction booklet for the charge controller but NOTHING on connecting the other hardware in the kit. I'm at a loss. No wires with proper ends to connect the controller to the battery. Controller manual says "add a 30 amp fuse in 2 positive lines." No 30 amp fuses and no way to install them in the included wire. I'm supposed to know how to do that? Wish they had stated that in the ad. Overall, very frustrating and disappointing.

Fuses are not needed for operation but recommended for protection of your investment.

Have not installed it yet but did put it together to try it out and it works perfect.. Just what i wanted shipping was awesome will be buying at lest 1 or 2 more panels to go with what i have..Like the fact that i can take it camping with me and the kids can still play there video games.... lol (well at lest i got them out of the house)

I purchased the solar panel for mainly for charging the batteries for my wives cpap machine while camping. I haven't been camping yet but I have tried it out at home and It did a very nice job re-charging the batteries up in no time. So far so good.Thanks
