Not Very Heavy Duty
We had used these to cut some rugs, boxes and packing tape while moving. all worked well, they were very sharp. Then fast forward a month or so to using them yesterday to cut some very minimal vines to remove some weeds in the yard, and boom, completely snaps off. from flower vines! I have fingernail clippers that can withstand more force these.

Poor blade tolerance
I bought these specifically for cutting fiber optics but they perform very poorly at the task. They cut the glass portion just fine but will not cut the Kevlar reinforcement fibers without several cutting attempts. The tolerance for the blade gap is too wide and it ends up shoving all the Kevlar fibers down between the blades instead of cutting them. Attempting to tighten the adjustment nut just results in the spring no longer working while still not being able to cut.

Grip upgraded!
I recently viewed the Wiss CW7T online and noticed it had an improved grip over the older W7T. The W7T is a great light/medium duty utility shear, but the hard plastic handles can be slippery at times. The newer CW7T has added rubberized texture grip to the handles and offers better control. I use these for cutting thin plastics, leather, nylon fabrics and such in small volume. Good to go so far!!

Perfect kitchen shears
I know they are not meant for the kitchen, but these shears are perfect for everything related to food prep. The micro serrated blade means that they get a good grip, and the comfortable handle stands up to food prep in large amounts.

Super clean & easy cuts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these with one task in mind and that was cutting tool-leather (really thick and tough). When I received the shears I noticed what looks like small serrations on one of the blades & initially thought this might effect the look of cuts on leather. The serrations do not make noticeable places on any material I’ve cut with them thus far (doubled and quadrupled thick cardboard, leather, thick plastic (5 gallon bucket), and metal roof flashing). The only flaw I can find with the shears is that they are not Made In USA. Designed/Engineered/Tested in USA but made in China. Looking forward to see how long they keep such a sharp clean edge.

Well Made Shears
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tired of cheap scissors being basically disposable, one and done type things. These say they'll cut roofing and siding, so I figured they will cut just about anything. First project was to make soft covers for vise jaws. I am working on restoring a knife, and don't want the pads marring it. I have a pair of leather driver gloves that are developing holes in the fingers and stitching coming loose, perfect material for what I need. The shears cut through the leather with ease, as if cutting wrapping paper. I anticipate getting many years out of these. Now to get the vice cleaned up.

I needed a pair of utility scissors for multiple uses in my shed and these proved to be perfect in several ways:
- great handfeel - the ergonomics feel right, very comfortable
- sturdy - these are stronger than "inside" scissors, and great for cutting cardboard, plastic, and even light wood
- serrated blade - one of the two blades is serrated, which helps hold round pieces from slipping while cutting
I'm not sure there's anything else I would have wanted in utility scissors - I'm very happy with these.

Handles fit my hands great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The handles are great. I wish they had an ambidextrous grip (I'm a lefty), but very sharp right out of the package. Blades are nice and thick. Good weight to them, also. Definitely not a cheap pair of junk scissors. They've already earned a spot in my toolbox.

The Wiss 10-inch offset professional shears are excellent! It appears that Wiss and Crescent Tool are now the same company, but my excellent experience with tools from both manufacturers certainly seems to have carried over into these shears. They're solidly-built, well-balanced, and extremely precise. The molded plastic handles are very large, so they are easy to grip and could likely be used even with moderately thin work gloves. The shears came to me extremely sharp and I'm very pleased with their quality. These are excellent shears made for real work. I'm impressed and I highly recommend them.
