Product Overview

Woodguard lumber is treated to prevent rot and insect damage above and below ground level while making the wood core resistant to the warping, twisting and splitting. Woodguard lumber is much stronger than unreinforced vinyl rails and will not become brittle in cold weather. Woodguard structural lumber has many versatile uses such as; fence rails, horse fence rails, patio cover joist, flexible horse top rails, build gates, vinyl or plastic lattice rails, deck railing, landscaping retaining wall lumber, planter boxes, play structures, outdoor furniture to name a few.

  • Cuts to length and fastens like wood using standard tools and fasteners
  • Nontoxic borate treatment of wood core will not cause nail and screw corrosion

Looks great as a fencing rail. The plastic coating is a slip on sleeve. It is not sprayed on or otherwise bonded to the wood. I tried contacting the manufacture about purchasing additional end caps and no one responded. If you cut this into 2 pieces you will not have end caps to cover everything. The end cap slips on but stays in place well.

I thought the Polymer would have been treated into the wood, more of a solid substance. Instead it is just wrapped with Polymer. Wish the end caps could be sealed a lot tighter then they do. Using them for a bar top outside on my deck, needed the 2" thickness. Hope the Polymer holds up if so it's g
