Bright is an understatement when describing the Wood 6000-lumen portable LED work light. In the pitch black evening we had ant issues and I used the work light outside to seal the hole where the ants were coming from. It was like working in the daylight. With tripod and height extension, the work light was able to illuminate most of the wall I need to seal. With the portability I can have better lighting anywhere in my house that my normal lights don't light up. Light assembly is required, however, the instructions were difficult to read because of the small print.

This is an extremely well built bright LED light. I use it to work on cars in my shop. Do not even need overhead lights with this one. Tripod is adjustable for different heights and angles. The light can also be taken off the tripod for those times you need more light in a lower situation. I replaced my 2 halogen lights with this one light and have more light to work with. I highly recommend these lights!

I have a lot of portable work lights, but I have to say this LED work light is fantastic. It is extra bright compared to my 500 W work lights. And unlike my old work lights, it does not put off the hot heat. The case gets a little hot to the touch, but even putting your hand a foot in front of the light it is barley warm. Love the idea that you can use it on a telescoping tripod or by itself, makes this light very versatile. Not the telescoping tripod will need extended just a little to tighten the locking rings in place.

Bright outta the box! Tremendous bright, even, light output from this 6000 lumens LED work light. The instruction manual has good graphics and textual content but it is very small and so I used a mixture of magnifying glass and the Home Depot website pictures to figure out how the parts fitted together. The lamp and tripod can be erected quickly and fold down to a compact and easily transportable size. I am a bit puzzled as to why the tripod base and lamp head to tripod both use quickly adjusted knobs whereas the lamp head angle can only be set using a wrench. The addition of a third knob in that position would be very handy. At full extension the middle of the LED array is at 64 inches. That is a good height that makes this lamp useful in a variety of situations; lighting up a work bench, a wider work area or to use in conjunction with additional work lights. The light is bright enough to be as good as daylight in many situations. The light gets warm to the touch but not hot. The large heat sink on the back of the lamp gets warmer still but not enough to cause problems. The cord is not particularly long at about five feet in length but it is okay to use a suitable extension cord. According to the printed instructions this tool has a limited lifetime warranty.

Very bright and adjusts to throw light where you need it. But has a couple design flaws. Overall the “Woods 6000-Lumen Portable LED Work Light with Tripod” does a great job as a work light. Its metal construction should hold up to use. The cooling fins on the case do a good job of dissipating heat. The tripod offers plenty of height adjustment, but folds up when not in use. And the light can be removed from the tripod without tools and used independently when the tripod is unnecessary or would be in the way. I did a lighting project in my basement with this as the only light source. It was on for a couple of hours and worked perfectly. The case got warm, but not too hot to touch. Just a few minor gripes: - The tripod could be a bit sturdier for better stability. - Assembly is just 3 bolts, but requires two different wrench sizes: 10mm to attach the “foot” to the light and an 11mm to adjust the tilt. Why not standardize on one, especially since the bolts are so close in size? - They claim “tool-less adjustable tilt”, and maybe I’m being too gentle, but the adjuster felt like it might break if forced so I decided to loosen/retighten the nut each time, which is inconvenient especially on jobs where you need to frequently adjust the tilt. If you're looking for a versatile and bright work light, this is it. Disassembled (see pic) it is lightweight and very easy to carry. With Light On (see pic) it illuminates my dark basement (area shown about 30X25) like day. The light itself eliminates most shadows and is very "clean" for accurate color work. The tripod can be raised and lowered from roughly 3ft to 6 ft. The light rotates left to right and up and down. It also dismounts from the tripod for use in tighter situations (see pic). The build seems very sturdy and long lasting. Altogether this is a perfectly designed tool. Highly recommended.

I have a halogen work lamp, similar in design to this model. The heat from that halogen lamp can be flat out dangerous. You won't have that problem with this 6000 lumen led work light. Instant on and it is very bright and minimal to no heat issues. It works very well once assembled. I don't like the fact you will need a 11mm socket or wrench to adjust the lamp angle. I also don't care for the wobble in the adjustable telescoping part. Not a deal breaker, but I never had a tripod lamp wobble before. Five feet of grounded power cord. Easy on and off access with an easy to push switch button. The instructions were very difficult to read, due to the font size being so small. The tripod feet section is solid and will collapse and lock into place for storage. This lamp should last many years with proper use and care.

6000-Lumen Portable LED Work Light with Tripod by Woods Working in the garage or shed and needing light to do your project means having portable lighting that will get the job done. So when the Home Depot Seeds program offered this 6000-Lumen Portable LED Work Light with Tripod made by Woods, I promptly selected it. The item was shipped shortly thereafter, and although the shipping box took a beating, the item arrived without damages. The unit comes almost completely assembled in the box. You have the tripod base, the light base, the light unit, and the hardware package. The tripod is basically assembled for you. On the top leg bracket which is what slides down or up, there is a tightening knob to lock the unit in position. It uses a carriage bolt with a hex head that fits into the bracket when tightening. Just make sure it is aligned and you are all set. It doesn't take much to loosen when adjusting the legs. The legs when folded inward are inside their side supports. There are two adjustments for height with twist locking mechanisms. The top of the stand has a channel in which the floor feet of the light unit sits and is secured with a twist knob. This set up allows you to use the light in the stand or remove it and use it on the floor. The floor base simply attaches with two nuts to a carriage bolt. DO NOT over tighten these or you will collapse the base. The light has locking teeth cogs which allow you to adjust the angle securely of the light. You can swing the light a full 90*. There is a carry handle on the top. The light switch is secured under a rubber boot on the underside of the light unit and is a push for on, push for off. The chord is 5 feet long and should be okay for any 12 gauge extension chord, however, the manufacturer recommends nothing longer than 50 feet. They also say do not allow the unit to face directly into the sun. The light is bright. I mean bright.k 6000 Lumens. It lit my whole living room up in broad daylight. The unit comes with a limited lifetime warranty. I am more than happy with this unit. When I need light to work, this unit will deliver. Fit and finish is good. Though the light does sit a little off level, No big deal. I rate this item 5*s out of 5. Thank you Woods for offering this item for me to try. Thank you Home Depot for this offering as well.

The Woods Pro LED Work Light is the best work light I have ever had for many reasons. The light can be free-standing on the floor to see low areas or attached to the tripod with the simple method of turning the screw on knob and extending the tripod up to around 6 feet or anywhere in between. The head is adjustable facing down and multiple adjustments facing up. The light and tripod are made of cast aluminum and very durable as well as light weight. Moving the light to different areas is easy. If you have or had one of the old work lights with the quartz or halogen bulb, you know how hot the light got. I cannot tell you how many times I have been burned by that work light. This light remains cool because it uses LED technology. Yet it gives off 6000 lumens, the equivalent of a 400 watt incandescent light. Needless to say, it is very bright. The assembly took about three minutes and I got more information from looking at the picture on the box than from the instructions. The on/off push switch is on the bottom of the light making it easy to operate. The one thing that I would change about the light is the 5 foot long cord. Using a work light generally requires me to have the light more than five feet from the outlet. An extension cord solves the problem but a longer cord on the light would work a lot better. Using the light on the car, I could see everything under the hood and beneath the car. Definitely recommended!

Woods Pro Work Lights says, Let there be light! WOW is this a nice work light. There is some minor assembly, probably takes 5 minutes. But then it's time to get down to business.... Unit is very flexible, with its' fold up tripod it can easily be stored in a corner or hung on the wall. The light unit itself offers a wide range of motion. The stand is also very adaptable for various height settings. Has an easy to operate on/off push switch.
