A: Yes, this brush will work with water-based wood stains. You may also want to look at the 4 in. Bristle/Polyester Bravo Stainer Brush (internet #203150952). The handle of this brush is threaded and can be twisted off to remove. An extension pole can then be attached to the head of the brush. This often makes jobs like staining a deck less back breaking.
