The roller is way too big to fit into the paint well which is apparently made for smallest diameter roller and this roller is the largest.

We hate to hear you didn't feel the tray included in this set provided adequate room for the roller cover. This tray is meant to be used with the 4 in. x 3/8 in. roller included in the set; however, we realize each painter has different needs. We do offer several other trays and buckets that offer extra space. You might be interested in the Wooster Pelican Pail (search item #205865751).
