Questions & Answers

Is this already assembled?

Asked by: Baj
Yes. It was for me. About the only things you have to do is add chain bar oil and check the tension of the blades.

Do I have to press on that black button (for oil) every time I use it. My friend said yes and I said no.

Asked by: 1949
You must keep pushing the oil button on this saw OR your bar and chain WILL NOT LAST long. If you want a good saw ALWAYS make sure it has Automatic oiler like the almost identical saw sold as a limb saw. I paid about a Century for the Limb saw and removed it from the extension pole and use it like a regular saw. Why a saw has a Manuel oiler in 2017 is dumb. Workx can do better than this. Sorry you got messed over

Can this chainsaw be used on an extension pole?

Can this chainsaw be used on an extension pole?
Asked by: Brent
I would not buy this saw. Buy the one that comes with the extension pole. It has Automatic oiler. I think it's a much better saw. I own one and never use the extension.

Would a 2000w generator run this?

Asked by: Kenny
Easily. Does not draw much amperage.

14 in. 8 Amp Electric Chainsaw is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 157.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little Giant At the age of 77 years I can tell you that I have used a number of different chainsaws. Disappointing electric saws, hard to start gas saws and now the Worx 14" electric saw. When I ordered it I wasn't expecting much but the price was right for the work I needed to do. So you can imagine my surprise when I started cutting up the six Ash trees in my backyard and found this little saw to work just as well as the 14" gas saw I just retired. All I needed to do was keep oil on the chain and adjust the chain tension periodically and a few hours later I was done. Great little saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value for an electric chainsaw I purchased this chainsaw after Hurricane Irma to replace my old rusty pole saw and cut some tree limbs and roots that needed to be cleared. This saw is fairly comfortable to grip and easy to set up. The tension adjustment mechanism is pretty good and when debris gets stuck around the chain it is easy to open the cover and clear out the area and then tighten the cover again - this can be done manually without any tools required. This saw can be attached to a pole and used as a pole saw, another plus. The 14" size is good for a wide range of tree limbs. This won't match the power of most gas powered saws but it is sufficient for anyone who does occasional trimming and won't be working outside the reach of an outdoor extension cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Chainsaw! I bought this to replace an electric chainsaw that quit working while cleaning up after Hurricane Harvey. What a pleasant surprise to experience the difference in the two. The Worx chainsaw is so much better designed and ergonomically easier to use. I especially love the ease of tightening the chain without having to find a screwdriver. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius. I love this chainsaw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome 1st chainsaw I was so excited to get this chainsaw. It was very easy to initially put together and even a novice like me was able to use it. Great power for decent sized limbs. I even chopped up a huge stump in my front lawn. Be aware this doesn't come with any chain oil for the reservoir tank so you need to by that before starting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful for size. I had to cut down a tree that dulled all of my other tools...this one did the job, even inadvertently cutting through solid stone that were caught up in the tree roots.
